Need Help With Diet

I am trying to eat healthier but I am having issues with sugar drops. No medical issues with sugar. I get jittery when they happen and feel like I am going to pass out. I need help finding right plan to keep sugar regulated. Thanks

Perhaps replace added sugar with fruits.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by sugar drops if I'm being honest. Care to expand?

Try eating smaller meals more times throughout the day. Sounds like your body feels like you are starving it. I try to eat something every 2 hours. Keep something handy at all times grapes, pineapples, tuna packs, etc.. Hope this helps bc I use to experience this as well

OK. you say no medical issues, but you describe a medical issue. I would strongly suggest speaking to your doctor or a professional nutritionist if you are feeling like you're going to pass out.

BTW, what is your caloric intake level set to/how many lb's a week?

This. If you are eating a ton of sugary junk food which is making your blood sugar swing wildly up and down, stop eating a ton of sugary treats. If you are eating a generally balanced diet and you are experiencing something that is making you feel like your blood sugar is plummeting and making you jittery, you have a health problem. A healthy person shouldn't have to focus on "regulating" sugar.

The other possibility is that you are undereating. Are you logging? How many calories are you eating and what's your height and weight?

    Exactly this.

Giving us more information about what you are eating and when you are experiencing this would also help.

I used to get what I called a "calorie crash" about two hours after eating. It was most pronounced after something sugary like pancakes. My hands shake anyway but it would get so bad it was difficult to write. It would help if I had some eggs with the pancakes but I am not sure if it was the fat or some non sugar calories. It also happened when I ate oatmeal with fruit, a bagel or had toast & jam with my eggs. This would cause me to eat a snack bar daily at 9:30 just to make it to lunch. I switched to low carb high fat WOE in July and the calorie crash and shakes stopped. I also don't feel the need to eat a morning snack other than some almonds some days. So I guess the culprit for my light headed and shakes was carbs boosting my insulin. I never have used any sweetener or sugar other than what is already in foods. This is not intended as a plug for LCHF, I just wanted to share that I am much more comfortable now.
