One avocado. 1 tsp cumin. Chili powder to taste, Lime juice, salt and pepper to taste. You can add salsa too, but I like it simple!

My husband (from Mexico) makes a simple guacamole. Mash up an avocado, add diced tomatoes and onions, then salt to taste. If he's just making it for himself, he adds diced jalapenos. I don't like the heat.

I add ground flax seeds and minced alfalfa sprouts, the flax seeds are good and I hide my sprouts in it so i can't tell that they are there

For a smallish amount 2 avocados mashed, 1/4-1/2 cup of chopped white onion, 2 minced cloves of garlic, salt, pepper and several splashes of lemon (or lime) juice (this is mainly used to help keep it from turning brown. Refrigerate in an air tight container will start browning in a couple of days.

OMG, my new favorite thing in the world is Wholly Guacamole with Spicy Pico de Gallo. It's basically a dish of guac with a thin layer of spicy pico on top. 2 Tbsp is 35 cals I think. I eat it on sandwiches. For lunch I have 2 slices whole grain bread, sprouts, red fat swiss cheese, tomatoes, cucumber and 2 tbsp of this and it is soooooooo gooooooodddddd!!!

I forgot the cilantro...that makes it sooo much better. The lime juice will keep it from turning brown. We don't normally add it because we make it fresh for every meal. There's never any left.

2 Avocados, mashed up with forks (don't throw away the pits)
    1 Roma Tomato, diced
    2-3 TB Purple Onion, diced
1 TB Jalapeno, diced (don't seed it first if you want it hot)
1 TB Lemon Juice (squeezed from fresh lemon)
1 TB Lime Juice (squeezed from fresh lime)
    Salt (to taste)
    Pepper (teensy bit to taste)
    Garlic (to taste)

Mix together, then re-add the pits - this will prevent the guacamole from discoloring. I serve it with white tortilla rounds - super yummy!

I think when my mom does it she just uses avocado, onion, and tomato. Maybe she just mixes the avocado with pico de gallo. She doesn't use lime juice so it gets kinda brown, but it's still tasty.

    Mmm I love guacamole!

This so far has been my favorite, but I add cilantro and garlic to it as well:

Everyone has their preference! I like mine just a smashed avocado, lime juice, finely diced onion, PINCH of salt, and cilantro. I can't get enough cilantro in my life.

3 Avocado (I put it in a mixer so it gets a smooth but still chunky)
    1/2 a large heirloom tomato
3-4 cloves of raw garlic (depending how how garlic-y you like it)
1/2 ish of a red onion
    1 cup of grilled corn
    juice of 2 limes
    S&P to taste

I eat it with a spoon, on fish/chicken, with chips...I'd probably turn this into ice cream and eat it that way too.

Also, I don't do actual amounts/methods as you can probably tell....

If you like Qdoba's guac it's super easy recipe!

    avocado (duh!)
    chopped onions
    chopped cilantro
    lime juice
    salt

Super easy and nothing fancy. I really dislike tomatoes in my guac.

I use avacado, fage total 0%, garlic powder and lime or lemon juice and black pepper. When i use it as a base for a wrap i up the lime juice to make it more tangy. Its simple and only had fat from the avacados. I dont measure i just go by eye site and taste testing. But yum.

This is how I've prepared guacamole for years:

    1 avocado
1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/2 small onion, minced
    1 tomato, seeded and cubed

Mash, then mix avocado with lemon or lime juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion. Fold in tomato. Chill & serve.

The BEST tortilla chips to serve with this are Xochitl Thin Tortilla chips. They come in salted (lightly) and unsalted. SO good! Just like restaurant chips.

    2 avacados
sea salt and ground pepper to taste
    splash of lemon juice
    clove of minced garlic
    1/4 c chopped onions
I also sometimes throw in a tablespoon or so of chunky salsa
  • When I make it, I keep it so simple. It might sound kind of boring but I like it.

Depending on how big 1 or 2 avacado
1/2 to 1 whole tomato diced ( i scoop out the seeds)
a few squirts of lemon juice
    a pinch of salt
    a pinch of pepper

its really good! you can add more to it to flavor it, but this is just simply delicious and not bad for you at all! :)
