Round 60: My 27th round!!
Goals:
Remain under 155 daily
Continue healthy routines through Nov 30...now DEC 3!
HIIT: 12 times per month
10K steps daily, lower on HIIT days.
PT x 3 daily
Eat my routine breakfast.
Limit 1) starches at dinner & 2) eating out.

Mindfulness Stress Reduction
Get More 💤 sleep 😴
11/24 155.2
11/25 156.2 Two hours hill climbing & some salty food. Feels like legs are re-building muscle! Food has been in control.
11/26 155.6 11K steps, food under
Two SMART Goals from 1pm today through end of this Round:
Goal 1. No eating out. I slowed it down- now time to stop. Effects the quality of my nutrition.
Goal 2. No refined sugar. Have not been eating it often, nor too much, but I could see it growing...
11/27 155.4 16,739 steps fast walk, building up muscles again.
Day 1: Goal 1 ✅ Goal 2 ✅
Slept 💤 7:00 hours❣
11/28 156.4 HIIT (6 intervals) + 7,421 steps
Day 2: Goal 1 ✅ Goal 2 ✅
My scale did not cooperate, but I’m walking much faster & doing the HIIT ie Quads are sore most of time! So likely hanging on to some water. I’m going to stay the course
Slept 💤 7:15 hours❣
11/29 156.4 47 mins walking carrying groceries, moved all day. 11,511 steps
Food clean. Some salt. My Mantra: “Muscles are good. Muscles are good”
Day 3: Goal 1 ✅ Goal 2: ✅ It was hard not to eat out, but I didn’t. I made what I would have gotten at home, and could track it accurately/make it with healthier ingredients. This should get easier in 1-2 days. Powering on...
I’m more concerned with getting my nutrition back where it was (Goals 1 & 2) than the scale right now since I know that re-ifocusing in them will lead to weight loss in the future (as opposed to weight gain, if I don’t get back to them.)
Slept 💤 7:15 hours❣
11/30 155.6 yay back to 155’s very little appetite yesterday. No sugar/eating out makes my cravings go away, again! Hallelujah!🙏🏻 Goal 1 ✅ Goal 2: ✅
Slept 💤 6:40 hours❣Much craving to eat out, but I know I just need to break the habit, so I did not succumb. Kept busy. Realized I was not hungry.
12/1 - 154.8 Yay! Got back there! It’s all about the deficit❣
Goal 1 ❌ Goal 2: ❌
Ate out with a dessert - tracked all. Had a great time with DH.
12/2 155.2 ❣️ Goal 1 ❌ Goal 2: ❌
Another careful lunch out with DH with dessert. Tracked all. Took a long hard HIIT hike for fun afterwards!

Day/Weight/Comment
11/24 - 241.4lb - slightly down from yesterday but I’m ok with that, my lowest yet so not too disheartened.
11/25 - didn’t weigh -
11/26 - 242.8lb - slightly up from the weekend but I didn’t go over calories so will just be water retention (snore same old story). Today is a low calorie day, going for a walk this morning and then a food shop following that.
11/27 - 241.5lb - - a bit disappointed created a really decent deficit yesterday and was ever hopeful of a new low this morning but I’m still ever so slightly up. Just got to keep persevering however do find it demotivating when the scales don’t instantly reflect my actions 😅. Hopefully I will see a decent drop in the next few days
11/28 - 242lb - it’s times like this that I despair and feel like it’s all for nothing. Yesterday was all tracked and again a deficit created, in the last two days Iv had a deficit of 3700 kcal and yet my scales are saying I’m higher 😩🤦🏻♀️. I know it’s water weight because well science, but it doesn’t help me find motivation to keep on going until I see it reflected. Today is a low calorie day so who knows for tomorrow. *fluctuations are normal fluctuations are normal fluctuations are bloody f&£@#*€ annoying but normal 😩*
11/29 - 240.5lb - - well atleast that’s something, unfortunately the frustration taints any accomplishment I might have felt. 😖
11/30 - 241lb - - up slightly from yesterday but having a low calorie day today so hopefully will see that come back off tomorrow, stayed within calories yesterday so not worried. Today marks 3 months/90 days since I started trying to lose weight and in that time I have lost 26lbs, whilst it hasn’t been fast it has been fairly consistent. Feeling quite motivated for today.
12/01 - 240.1lb - a new low, only just though
12/02 -DNW
12/03 - 240.2lb - - Saturday night went over calories then Sunday pulled it back so this number seems quite fair. Didn’t meet my goal but still coming away with a loss of 1.5lb so headed the right direction.11 -

Result of Rounds 56+57+58+59 = - 6.5 kg (-14.4 lbs.).
End of ROUND 59: 61.8 kg (136.2 lbs.)
GW for Round 60: 61 kg (134.5 lbs.)
Day/Weight/Comment
11/24 - 62.6 kg (138.0 lbs.). +800g from yesterday. Eat my favorite Italian salami. Did my strength training in the morning. Back on the track!
11/25 - 62.2 kg (137.1 lbs.). “Six-pack in 6 weeks” in the morning. Planning my longer freestyle (running + walking) in the afternoon, aiming, at least, for 13km (8 miles).
11/26 - 61.8 kg (136.2 lbs.). Completed yesterday my 8 miles Freestyle and strength training today in the morning.
11/27 - 62.0 kg (136.7 lbs.). Somebody should eat less! “Six-pack in 6 weeks” in the morning.
11/28 – Didn’t weigh today. Frustration from trying to find what to wear for the company’s annual dinner on Friday was TOO BIG. I never thought that the feeling when the clothes are just hanging on you can be comparable with too tight fit. In everyday life I wear normally pullovers and jeans so the difference is not so obvious. Yesterday I tried the skirts and pants and jackets and all these looked so miserable… I think I should reconsider my strategy, meaning stabilize my weight in the range from 60 to 62 kg and concentrate on muscle building. I don’t think I have fat to lose anymore. I also have to find the way to increase my calories somehow, although 1200 is enough for me. I mean “good” and not empty calories.
11/29 - 61.5 kg (135.6 lbs.). Ordered yesterday 3 dresses with express delivery for today. Hope at least one will fit. Had a wonderful 7km run today in the morning.
11/30 - 61.3 kg (135.1 lbs.).
12/01 - 61.7 kg (136.0 lbs.). Only +400g after all eating and drinking yesterday!
12/02
12/03 - 64.9 kg (143.0 lbs.). I am a champion! +3.2 kg (+7 lbs.)
RESULT OF ROUND 60: plus 2.3 kg (+5.0 lbs.)

Day/Weight/Comment
11/29 - 75.6kg
11/30 - 76.2kg, I’m in super mega binge mode right now and it’s terrible! But I know what I have to do to fix this
12/01 - 75.9kg, I’m surprised the scales went down as I ate quite a bit yesterday too, probably just over 1200 cals? I’ll take it either way! I have pre logged for the day so I’ll behave!
12/02 - 76.3kg, .... I didn’t behave
12/03 - 75.7kg, I did pretty well yesterday. We did go out for dinner but I tried to log as best as I could and didn’t eat all of my chips. It was nice to not feel stuffed after dinner!
And I absolutely will be back for another round! Gotta stick to it11 -

36y/ 173cm or 5'8"
OSW: 74kg May 2018 (163lbs)
UGW: updated 67-63kg (148-139lbs)
Goals for Round 60 (starting Sunday afteroon)
- go for 2 runs
- do my body weight routine 3x
- do yoga
11/24 - no scale
11/25 - 70.5kg (weighed in afternoon)
11/26 - 70.9 in the morning after Pizza and chocolate last night. Started my day with yoga and back to logging today. I ate some food I didn't weigh, but estimated generously. Went for a treadmill run and weighed after my shower (before dinner) and weighed 69.9!!!! No idea how this happened, but it made me so happy
11/27 69.9!!! Forgot to post yesterday. Good day foodwise a few snacks in the eve and some wine, but almost within limits after an hour on the treadmill (running and walking)
11/28 69.5 I'm baffled, not sure what is happening here. But i'm not complaining
The morning so far was good. Now off to a conference for the afternoon, food will be a wild guess... Will have a forced rest day today because I won't be able to make time.
11/29 - 70kg - yesterday eve ended up being a bit og a binge fest... Not being able to track my lunch at a conference buffet threw me off for the rest of the day. Today, startrd with yoga, but otherwise will be the same as yesterday. I'm going on a weekend trip with 7hr bus rides, so I'm kinda dropping the ball. But that doesn't mean I'll be unhealthy, just less controlled and next week, I can go back to my routine.
Wow, how is this round already over? I forgot to actually post this on Friday. Then I've been away for the weekend, with no scale and limited food choices.
11/30 - 70.4 I'm a little obsessed with having digital scales - in previous rounds I only had non-digital, so didn't see the smaller fluctuations. But it's so interesting, been stepping on them several times in the morning and evening the last few days. Spent most of Friday on a bus, so no steps and mainly snack food, until a pizza just before bed.
12/01 - weekend away, no scale. Not much walking as we did a river cruise on the Zambesi river with delicious lunch. Wine and pizza in the eve.
12/02 - weekend away, no scale. Victoria falls, which are very dry around this time of year - dry season is coming to an end, so there is no thundering waterfall, but stunning scenery. Food-wise was again a pizza on the bus back home and some snacks. I weighed when we came back in the eve at 69.9, which was a surprise.
12/03 70.4kg this morning, then 71.4 after breakfast (coffee and a couple of slices of bread).
Given this was my first proper round back, i'm happy with it. I will get back to a routine for 2 rounds, before another work trip and holiday over Christmas and New Year. So I'll try to make the best of that. My aim now is to leave the year comfortably below 70kg, so let's say at 68-ish.
I will catch up on all the posts from the weekend tonight. And then onto R61, thanks for setting that up, @GrandmaJackie11 -

THERE ARE NO QUICK FIXES OR SHORTCUTS to achieve permanent change.
REMINDERS One or two thoughts which might give heart to some of you.- Daily weight fluctuations are normal, and can be as much as 2 lbs a day for no apparent reason.
- A general downward trend is what we are looking for.
- Eating out can cause apparent weight gain because of high sodium levels, but usually goes quickly. Drinking extra water helps with this.
- The human body does not react instantly to what we do to it. Sometimes it can take several days to see results.
- Plateaus are a normal part of the process. The body is consolidating and adapting to your new way of eating/exercising.
- The closer you get to your goal weight, the more difficult it becomes to lose weight, as your body becomes more efficient at using what you feed it.
- When you exercise you build muscle, which takes up less space than fat, so use measurements as well as weight to assess your progress.
- Getting/Staying fit and healthy requires a lifestyle change for most people.

11/24: 67.6 - Went for a run yesterday, was expecting it to be a short one as I was shattered, and then ended up running 5.5k (aka, longest I've run so far). It was tough to begin with, but after the first km I settled into it and kept taking the longer options. Even at the end I felt like I could've gone longer in my lungs, but it was my legs that were starting to feel it, so I kicked ahead and sprinted for the last 250m or so, just to tire me out. Food wise. It was good! Even without the run it would've been okay, but with it it was very good. And first mince pie of the season! Yum!
11/25: No weigh in
11/26: No weigh in
11/27: 68.3
11/28: 67.7 - Aaaaand back down again. Not a wonderful day's eating yesterday, I've started to feel a little groggy again, so I'm not sure that's helping. Yet another day eating over calories, and I'm sure that today is going to be going in very much the same direction (thanks to the work bake off that's happening today). Ugh, I'm feeling like my eating plan is starting to get a little away from me, winter tends to do this for me. I'm going to have to knuckle down and remind myself as to why I'm doing this, and what my goals are.
11/29: 67.2 - Thanks to the requirement to eat only very little bits of all the cakes I managed to not go too much overboard, my biggest weakness was the ginger and chili cookies. Gosh I love ginger. Probably should've gone out for a run yesterday, but it was raining really quite hard and I could not be bothered to run in the rain so instead I spent the evening desperately trying to get the dog to not run around the house like a looney, and generally lazing about. Somehow calories worked out okay.
11/30: 66.9 - And breathe. Back down under 67. Calories were good yesterday. Normally have a KFC before doggy training, but as it was just me, and I had MaccyDs on Monday, I honestly wasn't feeling it come dinner time. Although, looking at my dinner time calories, it worked only very slightly less than what I would've had if I did KFC, however, at least I know that the calories were what the calories were, and not under the limitations of other people's cooking (and it was super yummy too).
12/01: 66.5 - Went for a run with the dog, I forgot how much work it is to try and get him to not pull on the lead when I'm doing my slow paced bits. Still went over 5k which was my aim, and did it in a faster time too. He is a pain (especially when I've just got into a nice rhythm and that is the moment he decides to go for a pee), but he does motivate me to run further than I normally would.
12/02: 67.5 - All of the fluid retention! Thank you judo. As per, lots of judo yesterday, and worked really hard, was in the zone. Clenched my back though, but luckily seems like no lasting damage, was just a bit tender for the rest of the day. Eating was okay.
12/03 67.1 - And it's going back down again. I am still feeling sore after Friday/Saturday training. I wanted to go out for a run yesterday, but I was just so tired and really needed a rest day (especially as I'm training today), so instead I slouched on the sofa. Then we went off and bought a Christmas tree, got some more pet food (15kg) of which muggings here ended up carrying around the store and we vaguely looked at dog beds and christmas pet stuff while my other half had the difficult task of holding onto the dog's lead. That might be a contributing factor as to why my arms are sore this morning too.
Round Summary:
I would've liked to have lost more this round, but I don't think that the actual number lost (-0.1kg) is a fair representation of the round. Because it really doesn't show the massive ups and downs that I've been having this round, soooo I guess that's a good thing in general. However, calories balance wise it's about on point (almost, it's actually 0.15, but my scales don't go to 2 decimal places). So it looks like I still need to work on the calorie intake. I really do find winter much much harder than summer when sticking to my calorie goals, and I know my hormones have been all over the place since I've replaced my implant, so fluid retention and appetite have definitely been affected. It should be starting to settle but it could be doing it's best to scupper my plans for some time going forward.13 -
Round 58 SW: 258.8 EW: 247.4 (-11.4)
Round 59 SW: 247.4 EW: 244.8 (-2.6)
Mini goal is to be in 230's by the end of the year.
UGW: 165lbs by the end of next year.

11/24 - 245.8..made cake and cupcakes for my sons birthday today, and got into the cupcakes. They were yummy! We're still both sick but excited for his party today. Definitely going to be another high calorie day, but I'm going to enjoy it and then get back on track tomorrow.
11/25 - 245.8..took the day off as planned yesterday and enjoyed my sons birthday. Back at it today though.
11/26 - 243.8...weighed 3 times and it was the same but I still don't believe it. I did not get back on track yesterday as planned and ate at probably around maintenance. Possibly dehydrated as I only had 50 oz of water I think. Still sick and wanting to eat bad things but I will not do it today!!!
11/27 - 243.8?...not really sure. I couldn't stop coughing last night so I wasn't able to get to sleep until 4:30am. Woke at 6:30 when my son woke and weighed in at 246.4. Went back to bed a little later until 2pm and weighed in at 243.8. Oh and I also ate a bunch of chips and cookies with milk when I wasn't able to sleep 🙁 I'm sure I'll be up tomorrow.
11/28 - 243.8...probably dehydration, didn't have much of anything to drink yesterday.
11/29 - 243.8...amazed to still see this number cause I haven't been doing great. This cold has really knocked all strength and motivation out of me. Not feeling as crappy today so I'm going to at least turn the eating around...still no energy to exercise though.
11/30 - 243.8..had one meal yesterday at around 5pm, it was a big one but still within calorie goal. I haven't been getting nearly enough water and I'm feeling bloated.
12/01 - 243.8..ate at around maintenance yesterday. Very little sleep last night, up at 3am, sons been up since 3:30am. Took him to the doctor yesterday and he has pink eye on top of his cold. If he doesn't get better soon (colds been around for 2 weeks) I'm going to have to take him to hospital..he has cerebral palsy so not a lot of muscle strength to move anything that builds up, which worries the hell out of me of course. My cold seems to have picked back up as well and I may need to go to the doctor myself. With all the sickness and stress this week I'm happy to be maintaining.
12/02 - 241.4...weighed a bunch of times and they were all the same. I don't believe it though. Lol. I did only have about 1200 calories yesterday but that wouldn't make me drop over 2lbs. I updated my weight in mfp yesterday and it knocked me down to 1230 calories, I had a hard time staying in the 1300 calories I had, so I changed my loss to 1.5lbs a week instead of 2. Hopefully it doesn't slow down my progress too much.
12/03 - 241.0..doesn't make sense, but I'll take it!!
See you all in the next round 😀14 -
Hoping that I will be true to this...

Day/Weight/Comment
11/24 - 146.5 - Well, the past week finally caught up with me. We'll finish up our leftovers today and I'll spend the next 10 days trying to undo the damage. I'm very relieved that I'm comfortable with my weight right now though. I'm also glad I have this challenge to keep me accountable and stop the gain before it gets out of control.
11/25 - 147.5 - Ouch, talk about a delayed reaction! I'm going to have to be pretty careful the next few weeks to make sure I'm back down before Christmas!
11/26 - 146.5 - Back to work, back to logging food, back to eating better, and back to drinking water!
11/27 - 144.5 - I was really surprised to see this number this morning. I didn't even drink much extra water yesterday. I'll take it!
11/28 - 145 - I changed my profile yesterday to a loss of .5 per week, instead of 1 lb. a week. I now have an extra 140 calories to eat a day. I'll see if these extra calories create a weight gain issue for me.
11/29 - 144.5 - I drank all my water yesterday and ate my extra calories in some cashew trail mix. I was surprised how full I felt all day.
11/30 - 143.5 - Nice surprise this morning! Before I left for work this a.m., my husband set out the canned ingredients for a sausage corn chowder that I used to make a lot in previous winters. He was so excited when he asked if I could start making this again. I'm glad I've got a few extra calories to compensate.
12/01 - 143 - Another surprise! I'll bet the sodium shows up tomorrow. I ate at maintenance calories today and enjoyed some winter weather food.
12/02 - 143.5 - Not too bad. We're having a rare 60 degree winter day here so I raked some leaves and burned some extra calories.
12/03 - 144 - I'm very happy to be maintaining here, especially after the indulgences this weekend.13 -

11/24:
11/25: 179.6 (Joining a day late)
11/26: 178.0
11/27: 176.6 (watching my calories closely, losing a lot of water weight, need to drink more water - not just coffee, lol)
11/28: 176.2 small drop today and I'm very happy with it - ate pizza last night but stayed within my calorie budget
11:29: 175.8 very pleased with the way things are going - still need to work on getting more exercise and more water
11:30: 175.4 another .4 lb down - going in the right direction - weekend will be a little tougher but I have good momentum going into it and hope to keep it up
12/1: 174.8 going to be a long stressful afternoon/evening, I hope I don't undo all the good eating I've done on this challenge
12/2: 175.4 well, I'm up a little. Disappointing but expected. Good news is I made though last night. Headache this morning but determined to finish the round tomorrow on a down note.
12/3: 174.8 woo hoo, down for the round, bring on the next round

It's really warm here today - almost 50 - so I'm planning to get out for a walk and get my outdoor Christmas decorations up before it turns cold again. I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!
11/25 - 131.2 - 1343 - 10-day ave 1227
I know this little bump up is residue from excess calories on TG, so I'm watching but not panicking. MFP says my maintenance calories without exercise are 1380, and SailRabbit calculates it as 1318. Since I've lost so much, I'm guessing it's at the lower end, so trying to aim for 1250-1350. We shall see.
11/26 - 130.6 - 1209 - 10-day ave 1251
That's better.

This is my fifth week of adding foods back into my diet after 6 weeks of eliminating them. This week I've added dairy (after eggs, tomatoes, peppers, & gluten the past 4 weeks). So far, I've had no reactions at all, so apparently my inflammation levels aren't related to those foods. Three weeks to go, adding soy, corn, and peanuts. I'm not sorry I did this, but I'll be glad when it's over.
11/28 - 130.6 - 1529 - 10-day ave 1328
Colder weather is making me hungry! I see a big pot of soup or chili in my future.

OK, time to get back to sticking with my calorie goal. Jeesh. I'm not eating junk, just too much good stuff.
11/30 - 132.2 - 1736 - 10-day ave 1436
Eeek! But it's mostly water. I had a bunch of salty snacks last night at a gathering. I plan to drink lots of water today, and watch what I eat the next few days.
12/01 - 131.4 - 1193 - 10-day ave 1434
OK, headed back down as I unload the salt & water. Happy Saturday, all!
12/02 - 131.6 - 1301 - 10-day ave 1425
I guess if I can stay within 2 lbs of my 130 goal through Dec., that will be enough.
12/03 - 132.2 - 1652 - 1384
I expected to be up a little - we had a brunch at church yesterday and I mindfully ate several of the sweet things (and some protein). My calorie count is an educated guess, and I thoroughly enjoyed the goodies. No more events for me until the 12th, so I'm back to veggies and lean proteins and good, fiber-y carbs for the next week+! The good news is that the last time I had a higher-calorie round, I lost quickly on the next one when I cut back again. So - onward!

11/24 - 258.4 - I would love it if my body could keep this pace for this round.
11/25 - 258.0 - Stressful day yesterday but I didn't succumb to soothing myself with food. That's a big win for me.
11/26 - 257.0 - I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to deserve this but I'll take it. This was my goal weight for November.
11/27 - 255.8 - I've been eating closer to 1500 most days this round and it's really helping.
11/28 - 255.0 - 1400 calories yesterday. I'm eating more fish and I find that keeps me full longer. Also, snacking on fruit is helping.

12/01 - 254.0 - 1409 calories yesterday. I've had red meat two days in a row and it seems to stay with me longer.
12/02 - 254.6 - Had lunch out with birding group and had some cookies, a slice of cake and some cider later on. It was all so good! Approx. 2000 cals for the day (just under maintenance) Was still full at dinner so I didn't eat. Also, we walked and stood for 3 straight hours on our bird hike.
12/03 - 256.6 - Not at all the way I wanted to end this round. I stuffed myself after dinner last night with food I didn't need.

Day/Weight/Comment:
11/24 - 187.8 Down is always the right direction. Got over three miles in yesterday and stayed within calorie goals even with a half a piece of pecan pie! Thankfully the leftovers are all gone. I'm just happy to have made it through Thanksgiving without a gain. I have decided if the weather holds out I am going to try to get 50 miles in before the end of the month.
11/25 - 187.3 It ain't much but I'll take it, happily. I did not end up walking yesterday. I went to a funeral (step grandfather I didn't know well but needed to go for my step Mom who I love) and the chatting after lasted too long to get a walk in before dark. I have three hours before the snow starts, I am trying to talk myself into walking before the storm, but it's cold... Whining doesn't make me healthier just fatter. Ok I'm going dang you guys are tough on a girl!
11/26 - 187.8 I'm sure this is due to a high sodium day yesterday. I did get my three miles in though, finished just as the rain that turned into ice that turned into snow started. It was actually a great walk after the first half mile of freezing. I didn't see another person or even animal on the trail. Usually I see or hear squirrels off in the woods - not yesterday.
11/27 - 186.4 Woohoo goodbye retained water!!! The only exercise I got yesterday was snow-shoveling the driveway. I turned on the MapMyFitness app. It said I burned 371 calories in 25 minutes. I know that's not right though I did work up a sweat. Tonight is gym night and I even remembered my clothes so I don't have to go home first. Of course I did forget my breakfast and lunch I was bringing to work... Meal planning is great and everything IF you remember to bring it with you.
11/28 - 186.7 Nothing but a blip! Yesterday's drop was a little dramatic so I think this is more of a true-up. Half way thru this challenge already, it goes so quickly. I did a short walk yesterday trying to get to 45 miles but I had misremembered how far I needed and am still a little more than half a mile away. BUT since I still have three days and need to exercise, I'm going for 50. These self imposed goals encourage me when I'm thinking I'd rather not go out in the cold to walk. I still did weights after walking but not as much because I got overheated walking and one of the fun symptoms of MS is when you get hot you get weaker. Not an ideal time to lift weights. I couldn't do the same weights I normally do so I did slightly lower ones for fewer reps, but still feel pretty good about it. MS can suck it!
11/29 - 188.5 I got in a three mile walk and stayed within calories but somehow I'm up. As we always do I assume it's the sodium from yesterday. I won't lie it's a kick in the guts when you see a number that's 2 pounds more than yesterday and you know you've done everything right. It's the problem with weighing daily. I'm also not feeling well. Another frickin' cold, my head hurts, I'm sneezing like a fool but thankful for Dayquil. Good news tomorrow is another day, all we can do is trust the process. I'm less than 3 miles from getting 50 for November.
11/30 - 187.1 Sodium is the devil. I'm hopeful for 186.X by the end of the round. I am super excited because I got 50 miles in November! My cold is still here, which means I cannot see my immune suppressed boyfriend this weekend but I'm going to celebrate hitting 50 miles anyway. I don't want to set another mile goal for December because I couldn't do any other exercising when trying to get a mile goal. I'll still walk for the majority of my exercise but I need other things too. It's cold to much other than exercise videos or stationary bike, but on those few sunny days I'll play tennis. Happy Friday everyone!
12/01 - 186.6 A good day. No exercise but stayed within calorie limits. Girlfriend brought over some awesome Blackberry Crumble ice cream. It's delicious. I had my 1/2 cup so it would fit within 1400 calories but I wanted another scoop or 2 or 3. That's the lifestyle change right. One small amount of something indulgent is enough. The real challenge is I'm going to a party tonight. I'm definitely walking this morning before the rain starts up again. I'm looking forward to my happy trail just me and my brain time.
12/02 - 186.2 I got two miles in before the rain started. A little mad at myself that I didn't get an earlier start. I was just sitting around like a bum on a Saturday morning. But beating myself up doesn't help the overall cause. The party went well food wise. There were plenty of good things to eat (veggie soup and raw veggies with hummus). I did have a tiny slice of homemade key-lime pie and a mini red velvet cupcake. I did not stay within calorie goal but I only went over by 150 calorie and I'm down this morning. I'll take it!
12/03 - 187.2 Well this sucks. I walked 3 miles yesterday and stayed within goals even sodium goals. How am I up today??? My only thought was I didn't eat at my regular time, and didn't really eat lunch but had a big dinner. I only lost 2.5 pounds in 30 days. This glacial pace is difficult to accept but it is what it is, I guess I'm down slightly for the round and have to be happy with that. Here's to round #61!10 -
11/24 190.2 (UP A LITTLE FROM THANKSGIVING)
11/25 189.6
11/26 189 (BACK TO LAST WEEK'S WEIGHT)
11/27 187.2
11/28 190 (yeah, I cheated last night)
11/29 188.2 Yay! moving back down
11/30 188 Still in the right direction. Every little loss is a win no matter how small.
12/01 186.6 That's a big drop, so I know it's probably going to be higher tomorrow.
12/02 188.6 I knew yesterday's weight was too good to be true
12/03 188 I hoped for lower, but 2.2 pounds in 10 days is good in my book
Hope everyone had a great round 60 and I'm looking forward to round 61!12 -

Day/Weight/Comment
11/24 - 177.4 - Ate nothing unusual, only 22 calories over, drank plenty of water. Just a normal fluctuation.
11/25 - 178.4 - Over calories by 300 from eating keto seed porridge. Still no unusual foods, except for a pumpernickel dinner roll. Plenty of water and enough sleep.
11/26 - 178 - I need salt and potassium. Last night during my fasting hours, I ate 250 calories worth of salty, spicy peanuts ? Could have saved calories just drinking my electrolytes. I don't know why I have been having an aversion to drinking electrolytes.
11/27 - 178.8 - High carbs yesterday, late dinner, no electrolytes ?
11/28 - 174.8 - Skeptical, weighed 3 times though. I'm pretty sure its because of the electrolytes I finally drank.
11/29 - 177.4 - I knew my weight had to settle but not to this 177 again ? Lol My body's water balance is so finicky.
11/30 - 178.2 - Pretzels. Problem solving eating. Didn't need salt. I was good and drank my electrolytes. Guess it all boils down to stress though. BUT, this IS becoming laughable. My knee compression sleeve came yesterday. Yaay! So I did about 20 semi sumo squats to test it out. My knee said no way, but I say 20 is my limit.
12/1 - 178.8 - Even though I threatened myself, lol, pretzels, ate them. Up all night, working on and problem solving a project. Why do the two hour projects turn into 30 hour projects? 2.5 hours sleep, still need to finish it for a birthday party today. Tomorrow, I may be going to see my littles, so the carbs will not be any better.
12/2 - 177.6 - I'm going to officially name my time in this decade, the Twilight Zone. Lol
12/3 - 180.6 ! - Carbs all weekend. Stomach has been on a full boil because of them. I didn't think I would reach this number especially after an experiment with a carb interceptor. My son told me these pills he's been using are really good. So mom trusted instead of being skeptical and said okay, let me try them. He and his wife do not cook on Sunday. I was there all day and knew it was going to be rough going unprepared. I was tired, but wanted to see my littles. I went to the grocery store while I was there, bought salad, salad dressing, soup, cheese and oat sesame sticks (my carb snack) Alright doing great! Stayed A LOT later than usual, so needed a protein meal.😕 My youngest son comes to take me home, but everyone is hungry. Usually, when I'm there at dinner time, I just get a fast food burger, bunless and maybe a small fries. Thats what I did, but with the bun. This is the carb pill part. My son says take them 20 minutes before a carby cheat meal. I took them, ate the burger and this is the aftermath. 😆 Serves me right. I'll tell him they don't work. He'll laugh and say sorry mom, well they SEEM to work for me. Lol. I'll deal with it. Catch up on rest and no carbs but leafy greens this week. After 10 days of ups and downs, I end on a gain. +3.4lbs of fluid retention SMH. I don't mind. A day with my littles is always worth the gain.😊

Please join us! Starting on 11/24 JUST GIVE ME 10 DAYS, we will begin Round 60
Anyone can join us at anytime during the round.
Join us! If we stay mindful we can do this, you can do this.
Welcome back past members, welcome new members, let's keep each other accountable for another 10 days!
Here is what you do: Post your daily weight and add little comments along the way of how your day went. Post everyday to let us know how you're doing! Copy and paste the days in your response--tell us how much you lost and other non scale victories (NSV) you'd like to share.
FOR NEWBIES - I find it easiest to copy the dates to a document or note in my device and edit it each morning. Then copy and paste to the message board. MFP will return you to the spot on the board where you left off on your previous visit which is nice to know if you like to scan all of the posts.

Hi everyone ~ so happy to be here! I've been with MFP since February 2018 and have lost about 40 lbs. Early on, I weighed myself daily for a brief period but couldn't handle it!! The emotional up and downs of the scale made me a little cray cray so I stopped for the sake of my family, lol. Then between June and November I lost my mom, my job and my fitness mojo. I regained 13 lbs (including the recent holiday), but have lost 10 of it again so yayyy me. It's been very difficult to motivate myself and remain consistent, but believe I'm finally back on track and strong enough now to handle a daily weigh-in, lololo. Thanks for the opportunity.

R60 - 1st round
11/24
11/25
11/26 ~ 236.8 (up 2.6 lbs from DAYS of Holiday yumminess - no regrets!)
11/27 ~ 236.2 - been pushing more than usual to counter balance all the carbs and sugar and feeling a little sore this morning. So even though my inner competitor wants to run 10 laps, today will definitely be a rest day. (UPDATE: was feeling so good did 30 minutes of HIIT in the afternoon)
11/28 ~ 238.0 - WT? Poor sleep maybe? It better be muscle!
11/29 ~ 236.8 – Yesterday was so carb heavy I was afraid to look! But I stayed within calorie count and got in some exercise, so this time it worked like it should, lol. Definitely need to keep it simple the next few days.
11/30 ~ 235.0 – yessss! almost back to my pre-holiday weight of 234.2. I have to say, while still no regrets for the holiday eating, I’ve had to work almost 3x as hard to lose the weight this time. I know I need time and consistency to build up a momentum again, but definitely going to be more mindful of this going forward.
DECEMBER GOAL: Do my best to end the year on a high note.
12/01 ~ 233.8 and 7 inches lost since last month! Feeling pretty good this morning ~ BUT ~ will have guests through Monday morning so fingers crossed it keeps dropping, lol. Have a great weekend everyone!
12/02 ~ 234.4 - talk to the hand scale, I'm still 7 inches down so whatever man. Onwards and downwards!
12/03 ~ 235.2 - so that's what 4 hours sleep and 2.5 oz of cheese balls at 1:00am looks like. I so wasn't strong enough to say NOOOOOOOOO to family and because of it I'm a hot headachy mess right now. OMG this was such a lesson learned. But a walk in the sun this afternoon should perk me back up, lol
Anywho, regardless of the numbers, I'm still ending my first round on a positive note! I'm so proud of myself for getting on the scale this morning anyway. The old me would have been too ashamed to look. I got my gloves on for round 213 -

11/24 - 180.6 - Sick all weekend. This is not the way to lose weight. Lol.
11/25 - 181.8 - Was able to eat some. Feel a little better today. Tomorrow I go back to the doctor to get test results. Hoping for good news. Not going to lie, I'm a little nervous about it.
11/26 - 182.6 - Still not feeling well. Went to the doctor. Got mostly good news. There is one area they want to take a little closer look at.
11/27 - 182.8 - Missed work again today. Went to the doctor for that. Got some medicine to hopefully make me feel a little better.
11/28 - 183.0 - Heading back to work today. Feeling a little better, just a little weak still. Hoping to feel good enough to get a light workout in tonight.
11/29 - 183.2 - Wasn't feeling up to working out last night, but I did make it through work without getting sick. Hope to continue improving over the rest of the challenge. Not even really worried about weight right now.
11/30 - 178.0 - Super sick yesterday and today. Can't hold down any food at all.
12/01 - 177.0 - Started feeling a little better today. Got some bland food to stay in me and got to watch my Sooners beat the Longhorns!
12/02 - 175.2 - Starting to make a recovery hopefully.
12/03 - 178.6 - Finally put some decent food away and kept it down. Will start tracking again now.

11/24 - Saturday - 178.6 - yesterday proved to be more difficult than thanksgiving and I definitely over ate. Stuck to my habits this morning tho. Friends coming over for dinner so not a normal eating day again but I'm looking forward to it!
11/25 - Sunday - 179.6 - more holiday indulgences in the form of friends and cheese. Making an effort to drink water today. Moms for mac and cheese dinner tonight. Way too much dairy for me but tonight is the end of the line...back to it tomorrow. Reminder to self that scale is just data, I had a wonderful holiday and in enjoying the journey despite a later arrival date.
11/26 - Monday -179.8 - Tummy was a bit upset this morning - no surprise there as my beloved mac and cheese is hard on me. I skipped my smoothie but took my supplements. Frozen entree for lunch and leftovers for dinner - but back to habits and structure and I'm happy about that!
11/27 - Tuesday - 179.6 - Need to really commit to the next few weeks before Christmas again. But maybe not go so extreme - because I tried to be SO on point before thanksgiving that I was like RAAHHH EAT ALLL THE THINGS once it finally came. So a little more balance - I need to stick to my weekday schedule, and do my 80/20 on the weekends so I can enjoy, be happy I'm still trending downward, and not undo all that work again come Christmas. Working on my patience as I get nervous watching the scale hover back to 180 and feeling kinda fluffy. Need to do some more meal planning and get more physical activity in as I just like to eat and burning more calories would help me be able to do that - mapping out a dog walk to do daily.
11/28 - Wednesday - 177.8 - Not what I was expecting but I will go with it! Last night was busy, no food planned or prepped - got KFC for dinner and it fit within calories for the day and I miraculously gave away the cookie that came with the meal haha. Nonetheless I do have a headache this morning so I'm crushing water and doing lunges every time I go to the bathroom - they are so hard! But I remember when I started doing my bathroom aerobics that the squats were hard and now they are easy so I'm excited to improve!!!
11/29 - Thursday - 177.2 - Sweet! Well this week is screaming by. Last nights NSV was eating half of my dinner - knowing I was full and stopping despite having more mashed potatoes to eat. I told myself if I wouldn't finish the veggies, I was not actually hungry and didn't need to finish the potatoes on my plate. Quads are on fire from yesterdays lunges but I managed to get my knee all the way to the floor which I had not been able to do!
11/30 - Friday - 176.8 - Happy to see this number again!!! Feeling great overall - been throwing meals together with whatevers left in the house, stir fry has officially become a weekly staple! Meals planned for the weekend include eggnog french toast with sausage (to use up holiday leftovers), pasta with meat sauce (good for atleast a few meals), chicken cheddar broccoli pasta bake - dang this is all very carby - need to spread these ideas out and fill in with some veggie centric dishes. Weekends are still a work in progress but I'm being more mindful of it this weekend...80/20!!!
12/1 - Saturday - 178.0 - ended up caving and getting chinese food last night. Moving on and keeping it reasonable today.
12/2 - Sunday - 177.0 - made a real effort to drink enough water yesterday and ate kind of intuitively. I should have skipped the tuna snack and just had the leftovers I wanted initially and saved myself the calories...good lesson, eat the work snacks at work and dont force it on the weekend, prelogging wouldve helped me see that the calories were about the same for either choice. Had lunch out with mom today but kept it light with pad thai and spring rolls. Green and white chicken chili for dinner and lunches prepped. Need to stay on track this week because the budget does not allow for otherwise.
12/3 - Monday - 177.4 - Wow this 10 days really flew by! Not a bad gain for a Monday morning after eating near maintenance all weekend. Not much of a loss this round but thats okay! This time of year is tough, I'm balancing stress management and budgeting and losing weight and sometimes my sanity takes precedent over the scale and thats okay!10 -
