@dowhatrightis Pictures are a great idea! I started doing that in June of last year when I bought the sun dress I ultimately wore to my 50 year high school reunion last April. I took a picture on the 17th of each month. I haven’t taken one in a couple of months but should take another and one of the dressy dress I wouldn’t wear when I bought it 8 years ago. I plan to wear it to our community Christmas dinner in a couple of weeks.

This 10 day challenge period has been a bust for me. Things happened in it to derail me. Personal, work, automobile, health, other family members health, my dog's health...so I'll draw a line on this challenge and see you all in round 61. Hopefully to do better. Cheers.10

Today, I am going to Focus on keeping my calories less than 1400; steps above 10,000; and going to bed at 9:30
11/28/2018: I'm back and getting focused. I don't want to start 2019 where I was last year. So, I'm jumping in late... but, I can tell you that things have been REALLY good the past 5 days.
Day/Weight/Comment
11/24-152.5- Feeling wrecked after vacation and Thanksgiving. Joined WW today for 3 months. Hoping it'll get me back on track. Food descent considering it was a family get together. Did have a very small slice of pecan pie. Exercise was a walk.
11/25- ???- Exercise good: morning workout, sledding with the kids, shoveling 12" of snow. Food good. Slowly getting back on track.
11/26- ???- Walked at lunch at my desk. Food good. WW points are surprising me. Can eat all the foods I generally do with 0 points and then I have a little bit of cranberry sauce and BAM! 6 points are gone. CAN NOT go by WW points alone. I WILL Gain on that program.
11/27- ???- Morning workout focused on strength. Christmas shopping. Food good with 8 WW points remaining.
11/28- 149.5- WOOT!!! WOOT!!! Morning workout- felt weak. But I am proud of myself for getting up and doing it despite not wanting to. Sushi for lunch which left me extremely hungry for the rest of the day. When I got home, I felt the need to eat A LOT before I got a few walnuts. Calories at 1700 but with activity, this was only 50 above my goal. WW Points were 3 over the daily goal. But I have plenty of weekly extras.
11/29- 150.5- Up a bit. Could feel the bloat in my fingers this morning. Work WIGs: documented. Health WIGs: Walk the plant. Morning workout. Walked the plant. Moved files. Food was on track. 10 WW points left over at 1300 kCals
11/30- 149.0- Feeling better. Didn’t wake up bloated. Morning exercise. Activities tonight where there is sure to be candy. Tomorrow is going to be the hardest day of the week. Wine and cookies. Need a plan now…
12/01- Total crap day. Well, okay, here’s what went right- logged the food I ate. Exercised. Got out and taught the girl a lesson about commitments despite not wanting to. So I had some cookies and a couple glasses of wine. It’s all good.
12/02- 154- Weight up from yesterday. No exercise. But ate on plan. Felt horrible.
12/03- 150- Weight still up from Saturday. No exercise. But ate on plan. Headache from hades.
Final: -2.5 lbs6 -

This is my seventh round. I am thinking this is the perfect way to move through December, with mini-goals, support and comraderie. I would love to be in the 150's by Christmas, but I am so grateful to be where I am right now!

11/24 164 -- Briefly flashed half a pound down...but then insisted on this number. Good news is that the post Thanksgiving number stuck, despite eating carby left-overs yesterday! I also went for an 8 mile hilly walk to burn a bunch of calories.
11/25 163 -- Stuck to lower carbs yesterday and did 75 minutes of zumba.
11/26 162.5 -- Back to good eating. Used the elliptical and did a late night jog around the house to get up to 12,000 steps!
11/27 -- Oops. Forgot to weigh before getting dressed (which is good because it means I wasn't obsessing) and it was too cold to get undressed and weigh. With clothes on, I was 164...which is fine by me!
11/28 163 -- Bummer. Assuming it's just a normal fluctuation.
11/29 -- 162 Raked leaves, strength training and zumba yesterday. Fasted til dinner. This morning I walked and almost got my 12,000 steps! Today I'm leaving with HS Theater group. My plan is to fast until dinner and then order something reasonable. Possibly will do the same on Friday and Saturday, if it goes well. NSV -- Two other people at the gym complimented me on looking great and weight lost! Also...looked at myself in the mirror before weighing this morning and was happy with how I am starting to look. Stomach is smaller and those love handles are finally a little less droopy!
11/30 -- No scale. Chaperoning HS Theater trip....May involve creative food choices!
12/01 -- No scale. Chaperoning HS Theater trip....May involve creative food choices!
12/02 --159.5 -- EXCITING...but potentially just a bit dehydrated. I had fun with the kids on the trip. Decided to try OMAD for 3 days. So I just ate dinner out with the gang, sticking to moderately low carb, but still averaging 1200-1300 calories and 12,000 steps. I also drank a lot of water. We will see how it sticks tomorrow!
12/03 --159.5 -- YES! The number from yesterday stuck! We walked around at the holiday parade and then watched my son's HS band march and I was thinking maybe I would have a lazy day...but I caved and did 60 minutes on the elliptical. I love that the habits of exercising are working!

It has taken 3 years so far 😂 But I gave myself 3 years when I began. My logic was: I’m going 2 lbs a month so even if I don’t lose, I’m, in effect, losing 2lbs a month. I really wasn’t sure I could do it.
2016: about 16 lbs lost, but lots of preparation & some change in habits including regular Pilates / some walking
Still ate out a lot, but didn’t finish everything
2017: lost around 22 lbs, regular walking lst half of year.
2018: Down about 35. Significantly more exercise. Eating almost entirely at home.
