New Balance 1645 Toning Shoes

I tried my new New Balance MW1645 Toning Shoes this evening on my 4 mile walk. I've been skeptical of these style shoes since Sketchers introduced them a couple years ago.
I would hope that they burn more calories, but the studies I read are pretty inconclusive as to the benefits of these shoes. I can personally say that they were comfortable to walk in. In the least I hope they improve my walking posture.
How do you feel about your toning shoes?

I don't have any but I've been wondering about them. I am curious to see what everyone has to say.0

they are very comfortable but if I wear them for more than a mile or two or at work (8 hr day) my hip(s) hurt - sometimes just one hip. I've heard ppl complain/sue regarding joint injuries so I only wear them for short jaunts, walking the dogs, etc
I have yet to find walking shoes as comfortable - of course, I make do0 -
i wore and they did nothing but hurt my feet, I wore them for about 6 months0

So far, so good. I do actually feel these shoes working my calves more than walking in running shoes. As far as working the core, I don't know. I still have a big gut covering my future 6-pack.0
