Seems MFP and/or Apple cannot resolve the bug that causes duplicate/erroneous dietary energy data to sync to Apple Health. Does anyone know of a calorie tracking app that syncs properly???? I've got over 2700 days logged here, but I'd switch to another app and start all over again if it got the proper info to Apple Health.

You can just delete the duplicates.3

Cronometer works great with Apple Health. Also, it’s food data base is cleaner.0

I use FitIV with my apple watch/phone because I like its ability to graph workouts in a way that's helpful to me. It also summarizes the calories in-calories out data so I get a sense of how well I am doing with a reasonable deficit. It's interesting, though, because despite the fact that #s from MFP and FitIV sync through Apple Health, and the fact that the Apple Health "Nutrition" window gives spotty data and sometimes no data (the last thing showing up there as of today is one meal on Oct 23), the FitIV calculation of calories in exactly matches MFP.0

Except that they're rarely exact duplicates. And having to do that kind of defeats the whole idea of syncing apps and devices.1 -
Try Lifesum, I've been using it a month or so and it integrates better with the Watch/Health though I haven't been checking the food pass through. What are you using the recorded food in Health for? It just sits there as far as I can tell and doesn't interact with anything else.0

Thanks for the Lifesum tip. I'll have to check it out. As far as using the recorded food in Health, there are some other apps that I connect to Health that want your Dietary Energy data, but if the number isn't right, it kind of skews the results. For instance, a glucose monitoring app will want to track carbs. So when I sync to help it picks up the 650 grams of carbs from Health (because of the dupes and the errors) rather than the 200 I've actually eaten. I just want everyone to play nice!
