I am wanting to start meal prepping. Does anyone have a recommendation for 3 part containers that are microwaveable and safe. I’m looking for containers that are not glass and will not leak. Thanks for any advice!

I tried a bunch of different plastic containers but wasn’t ever happy with any of them after a few uses.
The lids are usually a more brittle plastic than the trays, and break easily.

I switched to glass mason jars a few months ago, and the only complaint I can offer is the weight of them in my lunch bag. But I’ll accept that small price!

    Good luck!

It kind of depends on the meal prep you're doing. Is it for meals to take to lunch or dinner at work? Or is it for actual meals you're feeding the family?

I find the style that closes with four flaps do not leak. I can transport soup for lunch in my handbag. However, they are not generally divided into compartments. You will need three separate little containers if you want your food to be separated.

OddDitty, the meals are for someone who lives by them self. I would like something with 3 compartments, that could be used again, and would prefer it to not be glass.

    I use these.

They're a good size and fairly cheap. I've never had anything leak out of them. They hold up well in the microwave and dishwasher too. They do sell them with 1 large section and 2 small sections as well.

I also have a nice bento-style box with removable ice packs in the lid and its own custom-fit cooler bag. I'm not sure of the brand, but its really nice. It has 3 compartments and came with small plastic containers that fit in the compartments if you wanted to separate something that needs heated or kept cold from everything else.

I use these, they are great. They don't look very big but hold a lot of food. I make them up to about 400 calories each and eat one for lunch and dinner.
