Wondering what people do for protein in a low carb / GF diet when they only have time to work out 2-3 times per week.

Most protein is both gluten free and low carb. Beef, pork, chicken, fish, etc13

I eat that way and I don't have a problem getting enough protein. The best sources of protein are also gluten free. Any meat, without sauces or gravies that might have flour in them, you can eat. Vegetables are all gluten free and there are several low carb ones.0

On my intense workout days I use a protein supplement to help me hit my protein goals. I can't do much dairy either and have liked Vega.
I eat a lot of turkey, lean ground beef, string cheese, and try to get a good balance of protein at every meal.0 -
I have protein at every meal so I make sure to get my daily goals. A normal day for me is eggs and bacon for breakfast... chicken thighs and veggies for lunch...and for dinner 4oz of beef. If you don't like eating meat at every meal cheese or protein bars are great on the go protein snacks...as well as beef sticks...but watch hidden sugars in the ingredients.0

This is right. I'm GF, and my protein and fats is the easiest thing to keep GF: meat, eggs, seafood and full fat dairy.0 -

I would set my protein requirements based on my regular daily activity level, and then, as needed add more to align with the workouts I do.0 -

As all plain meat is low carb and GF, your question confuses me.0 -

...and I'm also wondering what working out has to do with any other part of the question.0 -
Unfortunately, the only time OP has been on the forum was Nov 12, so I don't think we're going to get clarification!0

Just for lurkers, I will add that some sources of vegetarian protein are not gluten free. This is especially true of a lot of meat replacements and some kinds of tempeh. Even just regular soy tempeh can be cross-contaminated by being processed on the same lines as tempeh made with grains.0

Yes, the OP would have made a lot more sense if she is vegetarian and had stated that.0
