I may be going to Knott's Berry Farm today, don't know how to do the food thing, my husband will be ordering pizza and wings, not good for me. The water bottles are 4 dollars! I would love to carry a gallon of water in there but not very convenient. lol, I guess I would have to take a lunch.

Just take a water bottle, I am sure they have places you can fill it. It doesn't need to be gallon sized.
I agree with taking your own food. To me, that seems the best way to be in complete control of the situation.0 -
Hmm...do they have lockers like Disneyland does? If so you could bring a small cooler with water and lunch and swing by the locker when the need arises.0

You dont have to be 'perfect' all the time, IMO. Take your watterbottle with you, get your walking in, and enjoy a slice or two of pizza. Life isn't all about complete control- have a little fun, relax a little bit, and make extra healthy choices the next few days if you feel a little bloaty. ENJOY LIFE! :drinker:0

I just went to a zoo last week...I had to sneak my own water bottle and food even because they said no outside food or water. I did eat a couple of my daughter's french fries though :laugh:0

You can have a day off without it being a write-off. I work really hard to keep within my calorie goal during the week, but soemtimes life happens. I went to a friend's wedding yesterday, and decided that I wasn't going to necessarily count the calories, but just be a bit sensible. It works OK every once in a while - obviously doing it too often is not going to work. I think it's not good to get tooooo hung up on the numbers side of it - we all need to take a step back every now and then - if only to prevent ourselves getting a bit uber-obsessed! I find that if I cut something out, I start craving it and end up making a pig of myself; but if I trust myself to be sensible in these situation it works better. But hey, that's what works for me. xx0

We go to the zoo. . sea world, and places like that a lot here. . We never buy the food. . So we take those sandwich thins with peanut butter and jelly. . In my case almond butter and honey.
Then take fiber 1 or nature valley bars. . Measured amounts of nuts or soy snack mix. . and I carry 6 water in my backpack. . usually works out just fine. . . I also take apples or oranges. .
Hope this helps. . .Have fun!:bigsmile:0 -
Sounds like fun!!!! I spent a week down at Disneyland in June and I brought in my own snacks. I bought frozen bottles of water in and just refilled them at the water fountains. I had grapes, raw almonds, protein bars, beef jerky, the snack pack Lorna Doone cookies (because yes I still wanted something sweet:bigsmile: I did not pack lunch because we ate in the parks-I just stuck with ordering the kiddie meals and that seemed to help with portion control or one of the most fabulous things I found while I was there were the jumbo size Turkey legs:bigsmile: we ordered those with the ears of corn one day and I think my whole meal was under 200 calories (I shared with my hubby) and it worked out great. You will do fine!!! They have healthy options in those parks now so just grab a map and look at the eating locations before you move about the park so you will know who serves the salads etc. I lost 2 lbs after that vacation because of all the walking we did:bigsmile: Have a great time!0

If the food interests you, then consider this a special day where the food nourishes your soul(like Thanksgiving).
If the food doesn't really interest you then do what I do, GUZZLE A 20oz BOTTLE OF DIET COKE. It really fills you up.0
