I've got back muscle spasm and now I have to stay away from exercising for 2 weeks. I teach Zumba 3 times a week and on the top of that I work out another 6hours+ per week.
How am I going to stay in my current weight? I'm so afraid to gain! I'm feeling awful without exercising: no energy!

I know it is for my own good. It is just very scary. Did anyone go through that? Any advise?

Well, you definitely work out more than I do, but I took a week off this week because I have been having terrible headaches. I did my best to stick to my calorie goals, and it's also my TOM and I still lost 1.4 pounds which has actually been my highest loss in weeks! As long as you stick to your calorie goals you should at least be able to maintain at your current weight. Good luck!

Thank you. It is my plan - to eat as clean as possible.

I took a week off recently as well because of a pain on my left foot and it was daunting and hard at first but with attention to my nutrition I actually managed to have a loss of about 3lbs for the week. Obviously my weight isn't the same as yours and it would be a lot easier for me to lose weight but I think that all you have to do is balance well your intake so that you have enough energy and maintain a deficit in calories.

I totally agree! If you stick to your calorie goal you should be fine. In addition make sure you are eating a lot of the what I call the low calorie high benefits foods, ( like greenbeans that are only 20 cals per half cup and are really good for you) so you don't feel like you are starving from staying with in your calorie goal, it's going to be a bit harder without working out, because you won't get any extra calories to use. So, lots and lots of veggies and lean proteins would be what I would use to make up the majority of my meals and I would stay away from carbs as much as I could and just toss in fruits as small sides. And lots and lots of water!
  • Thnk yo, guys for your imput! I will try to keep my chin up.
