Can/Should I eat this?

Hi all.
I'm struggling on if this is ok to eat or not. I'm working on losing weight and currently have eaten only, 4 oz of grilled chicken and quite a bit of broccoli and asparagus with about a tablespoon of 30 calorie teriyaki sauce.
I waited 30 minutes after lunch and I'm still a little hungry. I have this Vanilla granola bar and I can't decide if I should eat it or not. Please give me opinions!

Does it fit within your calorie goals?

What are you worried about specifically?

If all you have had today is 4 ounces of chicken, broccoli, asparagus, and 30 calories of sauce, you probably have calories left, right?

So eat whatever you like that falls into your calorie goal.

What is wrong with it? Only you know if it fits with your goals and if it is something you will enjoy.

I just don't want it to be one of those sabotage foods. I'll eat half, and save the other half for after dinner :)

Well only you know if it is. For me personally, I find if I deny myself the foods I enjoy I am more likely to go wild when I see them. That may or may not be the case for you.

eat foods that fit into your calories just make sure to get enough protein and fat first and foremost. I eat what I want but I make it fit if I had to eat nothing but "healthy" foods I would have given up a long time ago. no reason to be miserable when losing weight

No such thing as sabotage just fitting it in.
Do you like chicken breast and veggies?
Vary with many different things not just diety foods or you will never withstand to the finishline.

Sounds like your brain is short circuiting because it needs some nourishment!

If you have enough calories and are hungry it will not hurt you to eat a granola bar

You might find it helpful to start prelogging most or your whole day of food so you can make sure you are eating enough and not worry about it. Leave some calories for snacks and eat reasonably sized meals with protein, fats and fiber that don't leave you hungry.

I choose to eat 100-300 calories for breakfast, about 400 calories for lunch, 500-600 calories for dinner and 100-300 calories for snacks. This spread of calories works pretty nicely for me.
