Is this food worth it?

I shop a lot at Trader Joe’s. They’re always coming out with new gluten free goodies. One that’s caught my eye is gluten free blueberry bagels... everytime I see it I almost throw it into my cart, it looks so dang good and it’s so hard to find good gluten free bakery products. But the thing is, it’s 250 calories, not a ton of fiber and quite a bit of added sugar. Probably not worth it. I’ve been thinking about it for months though, and I want to try it so bad...

Try it out and see. Only you can decide if it is worth it.3

have you been diagnosed with celiac disease? if not, gluten is good for you. either way, i suppose it is worth about $1,252

If it fits your goals (and eating tasty food within your calories can definitely be a goal), then sure. It may be a once-in-a-while food or a to-eat-regularly food, but that's your choice.2

Have you found other brands with less sodium and less added sugar? Probably won't find any with much less sodium. If not, you could just cut one in half and have the top one day and the bottom the next day. Just a thought.0

Up to you. Only you know how much you like bagels, and what nutrients/calories you need to round out your day.
More importantly, charge your dang phone.6 -
At Trader Joe’s, you can return anything you didn’t like. I say try them, and if you don’t like them, take them back.1

I would try it and get it out of your mind. If you don't like it, you will know not to buy it again. If you like it, you will know how to fit it in when you want it. Nothing is worth agonizing over for a whole month and 250 calories is nothing in the grand scheme of things.3

Sounds par for a bagel. The plain Thomas ones have 270 cals. I would try them out but check the date because TJ's breads on the shelf tend to run close to expiring.0

Bagels are high cal. 250 isn't that bad. I don't eat bagels often, but if you are dying to try it, try it. From what I've heard gluten-free baked goods are often higher cal and not worth it taste-wise, but I have no gluten issues, so if you do I get the temptation.0

I find GF stuff to be a bit dry, so probably not worth it for me.
My husband who has to eat GF would probably love it.0 -
You can freeze bagels, right? If you think 250kcal is a bit much to eat regularly then stick them in the freezer for when you really want a bagel.
I'm gluten free too so I get the urge to try everything new that comes out but if you don't normally eat bagels or miss them then there's not much point starting to buy them just because you can.1 -

Checkout the new food products that caught your eye thread. People review products all the time and say if they are good or not. I personally haven't tried their gluten free bagels, but bet someone has in that thread!0
