As in should you track your exercise calories? Yes - MFP assumes you're going to be eating back at least some of your exercise calories. When you log exercises in MFP, your calorie allowance will be adjusted for the day.1

Here's what I found in Help:

Question:
December 5, 2018I use my Samsung Gear S3 as my step tracker, and the step count on that and on Samsung health are always lower than what MFP says I have walked. Am I doing something wrong or not understanding something? Why are the numbers not the same, and is there any way to fix that?
Answer:Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Our apologies that your step count in MyFitnessPal is higher than what you are seeing in Samsung Health. Samsung Health allows for the option to select how your steps are tracked (with your phone, Gear, or both), but regardless of what you select, MyFitnessPal will always pull both. We have filed an improvement ticket to add an option to specify the steps source when using Samsung Health, however, we do not know when this will be implemented. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
For now, if you would like the steps in Samsung Health and MyFitnessPal to match, please choose the option to have Samsung Health track your steps from both the phone and gear device.
Please let us know if you have any other issues or questions. We appreciate your patience while we work on improvements.
All the best,
Bruce
