Bored with fruit. Ideas please!
OK, so it's winter here in Oz and all the fruits are DULL. I am a summer fruit person.
All I've eaten for weeks are apples, with the odd orange and maybe a pear thrown in. I can't afford to spend money on unseasonal fruits (and they taste yuk anyway when they are never bloody ripe) and I don't like bananas.
What can I do to make my fruit more interesting? Thanks :-)

Grilled Peaches...

So you're in Australia? How nice.
Anyway, I like pitted dates. They are available all year. They taste almost like chocolate to me.0 -
How about baking the apples with a little cinnamon and brown sugar. Have you ever tried frozen fruit? I use frozen mango chunks (defrosted and pureed) in my Greek yogurt.0

Have you tried adding all natural peanut butter on top of your apples? Or buy a juicer and juice them?0

You can slice your apples, microwave them for 30-60 seconds, and then sprinkle them with a cinnamon and splenda mixture. It reminds me of apple pie... without the extra calories! You can also dip apples in vanilla yogurt for a little different taste.0

Got this idea from undressedskeleton on Tumblr.
Sprinkle some sugar free jello over your fruit! Fresh or frozen would work. Haven't tried it myself, but did buy a box of SF lime jello for the purpose.0
