Ok lately. After I eat I become extremley tired. So, tired I don't want to do anything but sleep. Odd because the past couple of weeks I've been just fine. lol.

Any suggestions on how to prevent it from happening or why.

I have read that being tired after eating could mean you are deficient in B vitamins. Try taking some Bs and see if over time that helps.

Or you just ate too much at once.

Or you just ate too much at once.

That is what I was thinking...or it could be a blood sugar issue?!

I didn't eat too much. That's why I was so curious.

I second the possibility of the "carbo coma". People commonly accept this at Thanksgiving and Christmas when they overeat on potatoes, stuffing, noodles, etc., then the tryptophan of the turkey on top of that and many people commonly take a nap after a large meal. Perhaps this would happen with a high carb diet of even lesser quantity. Dairy also lulls some people.

Also to consider: are you getting 8 hours of quality sleep? Any chance you have sleep apnea? Symptoms include falling asleep very easily during the day, waking during the night, flipping and flopping a lot at night (bedcovers are wrecked), a feeling of choking or coughing yourself awake, and (usually a partner hears this) periods of no breathing (a few to many seconds) sometimes followed by choking noises, plus the most common, snoring. A body being flooded by cortisol (associated with lack of sleep) can't lose weight properly.

Unless you take a womens multi vitamin you may not be getting any iron from it...make sure to check and see if it contains iron or not

i feel this way quite a bit, actually. i think it has something to do with the amount of carbs i eat and how it messes with my blood sugar.

i thought i was just old, haha.
