Addicted to sugar

Been there myself but I found cutting out sugary stuff very slowly has helped. First I cut out sugar in tea and coffee then swapped from sugary food to fruit ( if that makes sense) . I’m still addicted to cake but one small step at a time . I think the trouble is that we humans expect everything NOW but that will lead to failure .
Remember baby steps and good luck

Log your food accurately and consistently, even when you mess up.

Unless you have a medical condition, sugar is only a problem if you are eating so much that you are going over your calories or if it's crowding out other stuff you need. So focus on hitting that calorie goal, and getting MORE of the good stuff you may be low on, like protein, fat, or fiber. If you need more veggies, more fish, focus on that. I find when my goal is something positive (more) it's easier than when my goal is something negative (less, avoid).

It's probably also not all sugar you have a problem with. So maybe figure out the 2 or 3 specific foods that you have no control over (like gummy bears and Milano cookies) and just keep them out of the house for awhile until you get your habits squared away.

If you just eat sweet treats out of habit, figure out why you have that habit (like boredom) and replace it with a better habit (like a cup of mint tea, or a crossword puzzle, or a 5 minute walk)

Have you tried not purchasing the sugary foods you crave? Unless you are diabetic sugar is not terrible, but typically is highly palatable which can lead to over eating.
