Weekends are hard.

Drinks with friends. Yummy food. Socializing....I just cant seem to stay on target on weekends. What do you do?

I definitely up the exercise. But you can't outrun the fork...

Maybe eat 100 calories or so less each day during the week? that gives you an additional 500 to splurge

Planning is key for me. If I think that I'm going to be a bit spontaneous, I try to save my calories for the day for when I go out

I do other things with my friends besides drinking and eating.

Alcohol does not support my eating goals. Even if I save up calories to drink instead of eat, it affects my food choices during and after the drinking. It takes me a day or more to recover from a planned drinking event. Once in a while, no worry; every weekend is where I found trouble waiting for me.

Many social events are just as enjoyable with a non-alcoholic beverage.

    Good luck to you!

I bank calories through the week to have for various activities on the weekends. I also try to get in extra exercising on those days to offset the extra calories.

I have water instead of alcohol. It’s never stopped me from having a good time with my friends.

For food, I find that pre-logging my day helps me stay on track. If I know I’m going out I will look up nutritional info and decide what I want before we go.

Try a protein shake before. Having some protein helps keep you from eating so much. Try to stick to veggies and meats that helps a lot. There are drinks you can have now that are lower on calories also for every drink you have have two cups of water. You’ll get full faster and flush out.
