So I've been stuck at 206lbs for a while now (about a month). With Onederland finally in my sites, I am getting SO frustrated with not getting below the 200lb mark. Granted, I admit I could be working a bit harder on the exercise thing, but I have been pretty good about sticking to my diet. I guess what I need is some motivational "go-get-'em" bits of advice and/or words. And since all my buddies here on MFP are always so helpful, I'm turning to you to get my *kitten* out of this funk and back at it. So, sock it to me, MFP community, 'cause I could really use the help!

First of all....76 pounds lost!!! That is amazing! Add 5 minutes to your work out. You are at a plateau...Push through it! You can do this! Look how far you have come! That is amazing!!!
  • Switch up your workout. Have you tried Jillian Michael's 30 day shred? You can get it for like 6-7 dollars. It is a butt kicker, but it works super well!!

You are doing an amazing job!! Keep up the great work!!!

I agree - you can do this!! You're soooo close - I see that I'm a little bit behind you, so I'm now counting on you to get to onderland soon, as then I know I'll be following on soon.
  • When I first started my own weight loss journey, I also got stuck in the low 200s. I stayed at 204 for months. I cut back on my sugar, and added a few more minutes of exercise.
Congrats on your journey so far!!! It helped me when I just kept going and forgot about the scales for a few days. I can remember last year when I did that and about a week later, I saw 198 :) What a rush! Now I am just waiting to break into the 150's. I have been stuck here since Feb. Not complaining, but I look back and see how far I have come and know that I can push myself more.
    Good luck-

Looking at your diary you're very high in sodium every day. In my opinion MFP allows for a lot. I try to stay under 1700-1800 a day. You may try cutting it down.

    Good luck on your journey!

Thanks so much, everyone! And I have tried 30 Day Shred. I love it because it works EVERYTHING. I hurt for two days after I do her workout. Guess I just have to keep at it.

76 pounds first of all is AWESOME!! Congratulations!!

I agree with Cantjustcant. You might have probably reached a plateau with regards to your exercise especially if you have been doing the same type of exercise for a long period. Try kicking it up a notch with Zumba and Tae Bo. They are both high intensity but varied enough so that your muscles do not get used to them, AND they are fun to do!
  • I usually give up meat for 2-3 days. That does it for me. Go veggie.

Youve done an awesome job so far and just in a little funk right now. Some tips to help you break out of it.... Believe me I am fighting for every pound now so I know where youre coming from.

I looked over your diary and these are my suggestions:
If you are not drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water a day then start with that.
Start watching your sodium as you have quite a few days that are over or way over the 2500mg.
Try to eat more fruits and veggies
Your calories look fine except for yesterday when you skipped a meal!
Make sure you are measuring or weighing EVERYTHING. Its easy to get away from it after youve been doing it for a while.

The person who said about changing up your exercise is correct as your body gets used to what you had been doing. Also are you doing any strength training? You should start incorporating that with your cardio.

Keep up the super job and make a few adjustiments and you will be back to losing and into onderland shortly!
