I am aiming for less carbs, too. I actually recently made a post about this, too. I was informed by some helpful members that carbs are not horrible as long as they fit in your calorie goal. But I think that I am having so many carbs and not enough protein that I am left hungry with carbs thus eating more which IS leading to weight gain for me. I like an evening snack, too, so I have learned to eat dinner early (4:00 PM) and have a healthy snack around 6:30-7:00 PM. I will purposefully eat less at dinner to leave for an extra snack. We have been eating a banana and peanut butter wrapped in a whole grain tortilla. The whole snack is around 250 calories. It is super yummy! Sometimes we split on to half the calories.

This is nice to hear! :) The trick for all of us is to find just what combination of macros (protein, fats, & carbs) keeps us satisfied personally, and everyone is a little different that way. Like you say, carbs are only really an issue if they don't satisfy you and you end up eating too many calories to compensate. I don't normally have cereal in the morning because I know I'll be hungry an hour later, where a couple of eggs or a Greek yogurt keeps me pretty satisfied. But I'll often have a little in the evening as a snack, because I know I'll be going to bed soon and hunger won't be an issue. I also find if my meals contain a good amount of protein & fiber, I'm less likely to feel the need to snack.

Wish you guys the best :)
