I started map in September and have lost 25 pounds. I love this app! But now I’m kind of fluctuating with weight. Can anyone tell me what is the lowest intake of calories I should be eating since I’m down to eating 1200 calories a day?
Thanks - gaby

1200 calories is the minimum amount of calories that MFP allow you to set. How tall are you? MFP tells me the most I can lose is 1lb a week, on 1200 calories, so you appear to be doing well if you have lost 25 pounds since September.0

Hi diet0620. That's the same height as me. As 1200 is the lowest intake according to MFP then the only way to lose more than 1lb a week is to exercise and only eat part of the exercise calories back. My exercising has been low over Christmas and New year and sometimes I have eaten a little less than 1200, but my predicted weight loss is always more when I eat 1200 and have gained extra exercise calories.1

What does your diet look like? Are the things you’re eating good calories? Like, meats and veggies or do you find that it’s more starch and sweets? Maybe try switching your diet up a bit. Also, I’d recommend maybe incorporating some light exercise if you haven’t already.

What do you mean by fluctuating and how long has it been going on? How much weight have you lost in the last 4 weeks?
Often around the holidays we eat a lot of foods that aren't typical (including maybe more alcohol than usual) and that can lead to water weight fluctuations and digestion irregularities that mess with the number on the scale.0 -
