My family isn't involved in my life, except for my husband. I just wanted to share my excitement for my accomplishment losing some weight. Yay me.

I may be old as your mom, so if she isn't patting you on the back and cheering you on, I will. You're doing the hard work, and you deserve lots of credit. Don't give up, just because you don't get the encouragement you deserve. I suspect if you're young and had such a weight problem, it probably started when you were a kid. As a parent, I wish I'd given my own kids better eating habits. If we start them out right, they're less likely to be overweight as adults. You can change that for your own kids. Way to go!0
