Foods for On-the-Go

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for good foods to take with you on-the-go (other than energy bars)? My days are very long, I leave at 7:00 a.m., and do not get home until 9:00 p.m.. The only meal I get to eat at home is breakfast, although I am trying to make more meals/snacks to take with me so I don't impulse buy and gorge on calories. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a stove/oven/refrigerator during the day (microwave yes), so I cannot take with me foods that perish quickly.
Thanks for any tips!

Personally, what I take for easy snacks is fruits (apples, grapes, blueberries, strawberries, pretty much any fruit as they're all low calorie), yogurt is always good, granola bars (although make sure to read the label, because some can be pretty bad for you, especially the chocolate covered ones), and I also started buying these President's Choice Blue Menu oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies which are surprisingly good, and each pack is 100 calories. Along with that are the Thinsations packages, which are also an 100 calorie snack. For meals, I'm not too sure, I was going to say to get frozen meals like Weight Watchers SmartOnes but if you don't have a freezer then that won't work. The best thing to do would be to make yourself a sandwich I guess. Something I often do for lunch is crackers and cheese, because it's easy. Not having a fridge makes it kind of difficult, but I hope at least some of these suggestions will help or give you ideas!0

i eat a lot of peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches when i'm on the go, they've got lots of protein and carbs for energy, and they don't go bad, really. i've been known to make 3 or so and carry them in my purse all day. (i think they actually taste better when they get smash-y).
also,
-little packets of nuts (emerald makes these cocoa-roast almonds, they're awesome!)
-little packets of crackers (i get the peanut butter on toasted cracker kinds)
-baggie of baby carrots (i think they still taste good at room temperature)
-bananas!
-little soup-cups (there's a brand i like called Dr. McDougall's right foods, they've got all kinds of varieties and they're nonperishable and microwaveable, and not terrible for you either)0
