Hello fitness friends,

I've been burning fat and building muscle for quite some time now, but never engaged in any social media about the subject. I have used MyFitnessPal to accurately track my calories for roughly 2 years, but admittedly, that was the extent of my usage. I'm not sure what my exact heaviest weight was - I know that bathroom scales only go up to 396 pounds, and I have caused some scales to malfunction due to my weight.
I've spend considerable time researching the human body and applied what I learned to my life. After iterating this process for a few years, I'm down to 235 pounds - of which roughly 20 pounds is loose skin (plastic surgeon) and 177 pounds is lean mass (DEXA).
I have a sense of security with my body - muscle gain and fat loss may be temporary, but knowledge is permanent. I cannot be knocked off track because I never followed one to begin with. This is what I'm actually proud of - not that I added 30 years to my life nor that I may look attractive with clothes on.
Anyways, that's my introduction. I wish you all a very informative and productive 2019 :)

Very well written post and inspirational profile also. Hope this gets more views.

edit: most health insurances cover skin removal surgery if it is impeding mobility or causing other problems, which I am sure it is. If you don't have insurance or can't afford the co-pay, maybe set up a go fund me page.
