I've been dodging King Cakes like crazy at every event lately. I told myself I could buy one on Friday (today) and have it over the weekend as part of my plan. I bought a small personal pan one (which is probably 4 servings)..... and ate the whole entire thing at lunch. Now I feel all tired and too full. King cake... whyyyy are you so good? lzrtk9yvg97z.jpg

I feel your pain. We had a praline king cake in the office today. I didn't hesitate.

Praline is my fave! I totally planned to be reasonable with it-- I just got a plain one. It's funny because I've lived in Texas for the past 3 years and we didn't have them there... so this is the first year in a while and I'm remembering how they are everywhere! At work, friends houses, church gatherings.. everywhere.

    I've never had one.

I grew up with this kind of king cake though.. typically around January 6th.

I almost made one (can't find them anywhere here anyway) but I figured I'd just end up eating the whole thing so I didn't give in.
