Hello all. I have decided to finally give up on slimming world after many years. I know the plan works but for me I finally discovered it does not learn me a good portion control with food and that’s what I need. I want to eat what I like but in moderation! I am hoping and I am determined that my fitness pal will teach me portion control and limits. I am giving myself time too. None of this stone in a month as I have found from before that comes back on plus some! I am in it for the long haul. I also need to get more active on days off!

You can absolutely do it! I lost 3 stone by counting calories and exercising after a lifetime of being sedentary. It took me 10 months to achieve. I’m 44 years old and have maintained my goal weight for 5 years now. I’m cheering for ya! :)

Yep, definitely can be done. I've just turned 50 and lost 4st in 2yrs by calorie counting with this app, and that included boozy weekends, a monthly meal out, pizza, chocolate etc.
    It's a lifestyle change not a diet.
I'm on to my phase 2 now, which is 3st over the next 2 yrs.
