Hi All!

I’ve had an ACL and bone bruise injury 3 months ago and can’t do much repetitive bending or weight bearing. Does anyone have suggestions (apart from walking) of exercises I can do at home that can help me in my weight loss journey?

Thank you :)

    I'd ask a physio

Go to a physical therapist. None of us have access to your medical records, nor you as a person, and thus none of us can give you an accurate answer that isn't "go to a physical therapist/physio".

I agree with the above recommendations; your doctor and/or PT should help you and determine which exercises are safe for you to do . But you can still do upper body exercises with dumbbells at home to burn a little more extra calories and keep your body active.

In order to lose weight or keep from gaining, you need to tighten up (actually down) your eating. Since you move less, you need less food. Adjust your profile in MFP to sedentary, take it from there, and adjust as necessary.

Hope that you feel better soon.
