No idea where to start
Haven’t worked out for years. I’m over 20 stone, have zero muscle tone. Tried to do a sit up today- not even remotely happening. Can barely get my head off the ground.
Can someone give me a workout on where to start. Have huge thighs that I want to tone and want to get rid of my stomach over hang at least

Walking?3

I was going to say walking too.
Start with 10 minutes at a time, build up over the weeks.
Also, losing fat (reducing your thighs and stomach) cones from your calorie deficit, so what you eat, not exercise.4 -
I, personally, feel walking is one of the least beneficial aerobic exercises.
Look at cycling, rowing, or elliptical. All of these have the ability to allow you to do short bursts of higher intensity which will pay off huge over the long run.
The goal should be to get your heart rate up to about 50% of your age max: (220 - Age)/2 for as long as possible. It takes about 15 minutes at this range before your body really starts consuming fat as fuel for the exercise.
If you can burst into higher heart rate zones, you get even more benefits.
Also, don't sweat the crunches/situps. Pretty much a pointless exercise at this stage

hm - I tend to agree with the people saying walking up above. Walk first, especially if you really are so out of shape. THEN once you get good at the walking bit, you can look into other stuff like the poster above said - cycling etc etc. And you can do some bodyweight exercises too if you like, but i'd start with good old walking.
btw poster who didn't like walking - if you walk fast enough you get a decent burn.1
