What are the best lifting exercises to burn more calories. Also, is the more weight the better or light with more reps?

Lifting doesn't burn many calories at all.3 -
What is your ultimate goal? And I would think lower body would burn more than upper body resistance training, however as @TavistockToad said lifting in general doesn't burn much at all.1

Lifting weights doesn't burn a ton of calories...that's not the purpose of weight lifting. The best lifts overall are big compound movements. Your rep scheme will be dependent on your goals. Heavier weight with lower reps is optimal for building strength...medium weight, medium reps are ideal for hypertrophy and physique...light weight high rep is muscular endurance.0
