Hi all.
I’m new here, so I could do with some help and guidance. I’m mid 40s, overweight and enjoyed the bad things in life for too long now.
The thing is I lack will power. How do you all do it? I eat because I’m depressed and I’m depressed because I eat. I’m in a horrible vicious cycle.
Any help or guidance would be most welcome. And can you have ‘friends’ to help give each other support?
Thanks for reading. KB

Have you looked into therapy? In the meantime, go for walks and exercise to release those feel-good chemicals. You don't have to do too much... just a nice stroll everyday can make a difference.

depression is a serious health issue, consider seeing a professional for guidance.

for weight loss having a plan is what i need. i have no "will power" and don't rely on that. i rely on planning out my meals and stocking the house with foods that allow me to meet my goals.

i also don't label foods good-bad, and keep food i enjoy in my diet.

I was the same way as you, believe me. The trick is to stay busy and don't sit in front of the TV That will for sure make you want to grab something to eat. It's hard, very hard, I only lost 19 LBS so far I have a long way to go but I feel better and so will you. Stick with it you can do it and don't give up.
