Intermittent fasting with mfp-question

I was thinking of doing intermittent fasting 16:8. So in the 8 hour eating window do I eat my all alotted calories?
Also i need my morning tea/coffee with milk to get going, do we skip that in 16:8 system? I do high intensity workout almost everyday and my time is mostly morning.
If you guys have any tips, please share.

To the bolded above:
Yes, that would be the idea. During your 8 hour time frame, you would want to make sure you're eating the allotted calories MFP has provided you based upon the information you entered in during the set-up process. Whether you eat it all in one go or space out a few meals during that time, is completely up to you.3 -

Life isn’t so precise as the “purist police” here would have you want to believe. Can’t imagine, though, why anyone would want to “ruin” a great cup of coffee with cream and/or sugar. 😎

AFAIK, it is fine to eat about 30-50 calories during the fasting period, so a small amount of milk in coffee should be fine.3

Depends on what you are hoping IF will do for you.4 -
Just remember that skipping a meal is supposed to help you stay satisfied because you are eating more during the other two. The number of hours you eat and fast are not as much of the priority as finding a sustainable way of eating for yourself. You shouldn't skip dinner, for instance, just because you got stuck at work or something and missed some window.5

I do 16:8 and have been for decades. All it means is that I skip breakfast, because I've never been hungry first thing in the morning, which leaves me more calories for the rest of the day. I have my first meal of the day around lunchtime.
I do have a cup of coffee in the morning, because coffee. I also take my vitamins and supplements then. Intermittent fasting is nothing more than a method that works for some people to control their daily caloric intake in order to lose weight. That's it. There's no 'breaking the fast' stuff, unless you listen to people who think there's some magical additional benefit to fasting other than calorie control.
Tl;dr - have your tea/coffee Enjoy it.8 -
