Hi I’m julie! I had VSG in oct 2017 and I have lost over a 100 lbs. yay! So proud of all my hard work but I recently had hiatal hernia surgery which limits my lifting. I am struggling with losing these last 45 lbs. I have changed my exercise routine, and diet and nothing. Any advice ??? Getting discouraged . Appreciate any advice .

I agree with AJ_G, eat less and see what happens.

I am somewhat limited lifting for other reasons, but I can do calisthenics. (Which is more fun to me anyway). However, in my experience the weight loss came more with consistent cardio, the kind that’s always pushing the limit of endurance.

And +1 on less calories. (Not sure if you’re eating back exercise calories on this app, but I have found that to be inaccurate and I won’t lose if I do.)

Stay the course. Prioritize process over results for now.

Take a break and maintain for a few weeks or so enjoying how far you have come? Idk, but sometimes the body just needs to heal. Kinda like I would tell someone with a cold or flu to rest from working out until they felt better.
