Hello,
I'm a newbie to MFP and wondering if I should log my time walking from my fit bit. For example the fit bit states I walked 4 miles today and burned 2185 calories. (seems a little high on the calories)
Thank you,
Lisa

I'll let somebody who uses a Fitbit give you advice on the gadget but I can tell you for certain that number is far too high for calories burned.1

A certain number of those steps are already accounted for in whatever you set your activity level to be so no you don't want to log them, you'll be way overestimating your calories burned.
Sync your fitbit and mfp apps. Once synced, the app will give you "extra" calories for steps more than your set activity level. And you won't have to worry about it.
You only want to log intentional exercise.0 -

The 2185 is your total calories burned for the day, not just your exercise calories. As the above poster stated, just sync your Fitbit to MFP and go from there. So much easier than logging separately when your exercise is walking or jogging. Just make sure you have negative adjustments enabled for when you have inactive days.3 -
If you have Fitbit linked to this app there is no need to log your walks or anything step related. And as @lillymoo01 says, enable negative adjustments.1

keep your fitbit synced to here and then you don't need to log any exercises on here. fitbit tracks all daily activity walking, breathing, etc.1

Sorry, I understood that you were wondering if you burned 2185 calories by walking 4 miles, not over the course of the day. Please disregard my answer above.
