I bought a new scale yesterday since sometimes our current one acts flaky. Weighed myself multiple times yesterday and this AM on both the old and new scales.... problem is.... there is a 1.4lb difference.... with the new scale weighing me in at the higher number.... UGH!

I did try standing on the scales with hand weights.... 16lb weights and 10lb weights..... there are still inconsistencies with trying to determine which is more accurate. When I weigh the 16lb weights on my old scale, they register as 16.4.... and register as 15.8 on the new scale. And when I stand on the scale holding the weights, they even register different numbers.
Do I just bite the bullet and record my weight from the new scale ( .8lb loss), or... record the weight loss from my old scale (2.2lb loss)???
Oh the decisions!!! :-)0 -
Go with your newer accurate scale and take the gain now and be done with it and throw the old one in the trash so there's no more second guessing. Anytime I've seen anyone buy a new scale, there's always a small increase. Its best to deal with it now then later though. Good luck!0

Thanks... that is exactly what I was thinking of doing. Either way, this week, I have a loss, so... deal with it and move on. Thanks for the input!0
