i have a lot of slim fast powder in my cupboard and around 10 meal bars from when i use to do the diet just wondering does anyone do slimfast while on here???
im just thinking shal i use them for breakfast or maybe lunch? but on the other hand i can have a full blown salad with fish for 350 calories hmmmmmmmmmm

    Every time ive tried slim fast ive failed =( You could eat small meals for the calories in a shake or meal bar. You could use it as a starting block into losing weight.

    I have a shake once a week or so, often when I'm low on calories, potassium, or fiber. No reason you can't work them in occasionally.

    I do like those for when I am in a hurry and don't have any time to eat. So I do use them once in a while. Nice to have them on hand, but I prefer real food any day haha.

    I use Slimfast Low Carb Shake for breakfast and lunch on days that my schedule is very hectic. I love it :)

    Yeh I like the whole act of "chewing". Like I sometimes make a protein smoothie for breakfast if I dont feel like food....but real food is always best....and tastes WAY better

    I keep them in the house for when I cant take the time to make a lunch or just dont know what to have. I dont follow their diet plan but I do have the shakes occasionally.

    The first 4 months of my "journey" (I seriously hate that word now), I did Slimfast and lost 20 pounds. Keep in mind I was also working out and I was pretty heavy, so the weight came off pretty easily. I stopped doing it because I felt by that time, I knew how many calories I should be eating per meal, and Slimfast was getting expensive. Every so often I'll still have a shake as a meal (it's pretty much the only respectable way to have chocolate for breakfast).

    I have some shakes for a quick snack. I will sometimes use a shake right before going out to dinner - even though it burns up 170 calories, it does wonders for my mood/blood sugar and risk of over-eating at dinner.

    NEVER show up to a party/dinner really hungry.

    Slimfast is my life saver in the weight lost world. I never have time in the morning to make breakfast - so I always grab a shake. At work it helps to keep me on track!

    I've used meal replacements similar to slimfast before, and I've found them useful. But not as a full time thing, more when I haven't had time for a "decent meal" and knew that if I'd skipped the meal I'd succumb to snacking on food while I'm out.

    Trying to use them properly on their own just increased my snacking so I was eating the meal replacement calories plus extra.

    So I'd say use them as an emergency meal occasionally when you don't have time to make yourself a proper one.

    thanks all i may start using them for breakfast does the calories on the tin count the milk or do i have to count milk aswell?

    If it were me, I'd go for actual food with the same calories. It just seems way more satisfying and filling.

    It didn't work for me. I like to chew rather than swallow a chalk-like chocolate substance. The shakes were always gone so quick & then I was left hungry.

    They are good to keep around just if you're in a rush or not in the mood for alot but know you should eat. I started losing weight with them, but I just work them in here and there now. Working out, I need more than 1200 calories of the slimfast plan and I'd prefer two solid meals a day if I'm going to work out that much. I like the shakes for breakfast though sometimes
