Hi, I’ve done a few different diets but default is always bread and crumpets with butter resulting in weight gain again.
I’m on another mission to get fit and lose weight for the .... time. Tonight I’ve joined a running club, logged for 2 days and feel like I’m on it but now I feel hungry. Can you give me any suggestions on what snacks could choose. Think week I feel ok cause I’m only on day 2 it will be over the next few weeks when the problems will arise.
Many thanks
Stacie

There is nothing wrong with bread or crumpets, you just need to eat them in a calorie deficit if you want to lose weight.
Both are good carb based snacks for before or after running.2 -
I have an occasional evening strumpet but it has caused no weight gain.1

My go to snack has become low-fat Grrk yogurt, vanilla whey protein and chopped walnuts. I vary the amount of whey and walnuts depending on how many calories I have to "spend". Nice balance of protein and "good" fats.1

I like to eat half an avocado as a snack. Or fresh blueberries.1

Better go for bannna it’s a great recovery fruit, you can also use Greek yogurt with fresh berries.1
