I don't understand how mfp calories work

Every day my Samsung health syncs with mfp and for the calories I burn i get allotted more calories to eat. Today I burned 650 calories but mfp says I'm over my 1400 limit because I ate 1700 calories. Shouldn't I have been granted an additional 650 calories to eat? I'm confused

That’s not working right. Based on the numbers you should be seeing a positive. You should email customer service with that screenshot.

What do you have your activity level set at? If you are set at highly active but not actually moving much, I can see where it might go wierd.

It's set at lightly active. I enabled the negative calorie adjustment tab and I'm even more confused now it says I'm waaay over my caloric intake allowance. Here's where I'm at...2 screenshots. 1 diary. 2 adjustments . This was my first time going over 400 calories burned in a day

How do these figures compare with a previous day?

The screen shot is not saying you've burned 621 exercise calories - it is saying that the time it was analysed you'd only burned 621 calories - this includes calories expended when doing nothing - so I am confused when the projected full balance is 3259.

Your exercise calories on MFP are only showing 184 for the day.

Yes it's not including my 3.5 mile walk only my weight lifting exercises. I think there's a glitch with the sync between Samsung health and mfp.

Under your settings you can check if you want to add in calories burned or not. I have mine unchecked so that I don’t eat back calories burned
