Well, I think the title says it all, :) but who inspires you to get in shape? and mostly, do you feel like you love yourself enough to be the best version of you? I'm just want to read what you guys think and maybe get some inspiration.

For me it would be my wife and kids, I want to be in the best shape possible to enjoy life with them!

My mum. She turned 92 on the 24th and is still an independent woman. I want to be her when I grow up.

Yes, I love myself a lot. I am the best I can be at this point in time.

I find, for me, it is a fine line between the fitness level I could wish to have, and the work I am willing to put in.
This means, yes I lift, no I will probably never have the dedication to have abs, or compete.

    Cheers, h.

Lots of people inspire me ...

    My grandparents
    My parents
My husband who has had a remarkable recovery from a severe brain injury being attributed mainly to his pre-accident fitness level

And myself. I adore myself. I'm the best me there is and always have been! :) I inspire myself. :)

@Machka9, so glad to hear your husband is recovering well.
    I’ve worried about you both.

Love your new avatar too, almost didn’t know it was you posting :)

    Cheers, h.

Arnold schwarzenegger is a big inspiration to me he went through life being told everything he wanted to do was impossible and just to prove people wronge he made it all possible.

    Thank you. :)

I'm wearing an Australian jersey for Australia Day (tomorrow).

My husband still has a way to go, but all his specialists are using the word "remarkable" with regard to his recovery. :)
He's not back to work yet -- fatigue is a big issue with that but there are a few other issues as well. However, he works in our medium-sized but complicated garden (all kinds of different areas and plants) for a little bit each day. Also he ran a 5K in the recent local marathon event (I ran a half-marathon then), and we have cycled distances up to 40 km. All of that is much, much better than they were originally predicting.
