Hello everyone,
My name is Jackie . I first joined this sight several tears ago, and I have fallen and returned several times, I keep coming back because it is simple the best of its type. Anyhow, here I go again. On Monday next |I am going to recommence the 5:2 diet. About 5 years ago, i lost 4,5 stones, ( thats 63lbs ). I have regained about half of that through illness and indolence. I do not intend however, to over think the the thing. I will not be calculating my TEE, or looking at micro nutrients. That all does my head in, and anyway if |I want to know that stuff, this sight can do it for me. So I have my original IF books etc, and on Monday I shall weigh myself, measure my self (quell horruer!) and set off once again down the Yellow Brick Road. Anyone care to join me or wish me luck? It wold be great o hear from you.

Good luck! I'm not doing 5:2 or any kind of IF, I prefer to to pace my calories throughout the day/week. You may already know this, but a calorie deficit is necessary to lose weight, however you create it. If the calories you eat in the 5 days cancel out the deficit you create in the 2 days, you won't lose weight. If 5:2 helps you create a deficit for the week, congrats!

I am back for I don't know how many times. I get started and then lose focus and drift away. I'm trying to screw myself down to this thing because I truly want to get some weight off my arthritic feet. I'm not following any particular plan, just logging calories and activity to keep my total calories in the weight loss zone.
