Active and sedentary calories are the same?

I have my calorie activity setting as active, but have realised I’d get a bigger motivational hit from seeing my Fitbit calories and gym exercise calories earned added separately.
However when I change my settings from Active to Inactive my base calorie allowance remains the same at 1200 and didn’t go down as expected. This can’t be right.

This is likely because your weightloss setting is aggressive combined with a small stature (like 2lbs / week on a 5-foot frame) ...
1200cals/day is a minimum value for female -- your other settings are holding you against this minimum value.4 -

what are your stats (meaning, height, current weight, target weight? or if you are not comfortable with that, how much did you want to lose and what is your height?0 -
I’m 5.6 ft or 170cm so not petit. Current weight is 90kg so I’m chunky too. I agree, I think it could be a min calorie setting to prevent unhealthy behaviour, but it’s misleading. Would be much clearer if it then restricted/indicated that my weight loss at this consumption would be around 0.7kg.0

Yeah, it's not clear at all. Why not reduce your deficit to 1lbs per week and see what difference that makes? After all, 1lbs per week is still 4lbs per month, or two kilo. That's quite a lot!0
