I am in. 55 and struggling with being consistent! Hormones, lack of motivation, and rain killing my progress! I too need HELP! ðĪŠðŪ
How do we do this together. Wanna meet here once a day - check-in and hold each other accountable. ððīðââïļððĨ

I'm not really a check-in kind of person, but I wanted to say that I lost 70 pounds post menopause (age 54) and I've kept it off for eleven years by using this site. Don't fall for the hormones excuse. It's still and always about calories in and calories out.
Set your goal and keep working toward it. It's sometimes two steps forward and one step back, but the only way to fail is to give up.
Also, I live in Seattle. Rain doesn't stop me from getting outdoors and taking a walk for an hour most days. If it did, I'd never leave the house. A $40 rain shell and some leather shoes and a hat is all that is needed. Get out there!
Good luck!1 -
I track what I do more than what I weigh. If I stayed within my calorie goals and moved my body, I am successful no matter what the damn scale says.
When I can't get out, I do my exercise in the living room. Fitness blender has a variety of workouts, Leslie's walking videos are sometimes available on YouTube, there are tons of Zumba videos on YouTube.
Motivation has to come from within you. I have my phone set with a daily reminder of my top motivations. At 8am every morning, I get a pop up telling me why I need to stay focused on the process. I often leave it in the notification list to look at later in the day.1 -
I started the 31-day push-ups, squats, lunges challenge. So far pretty good. I also have stuck with 2 reasonable healthy meals and 1 green smoothie in the AM; increased my h2o intake; and started walking again! Down a pound, slightly sore, but getting back in the saddle feels good! :0)0

Slider - You have gathered a great group of 50-year-olds! Good job. Welcome to all the new people -- we can do this together! Happy trails to the new you (everyone)!0
