Anyone else obsessed with hot food? I put myself through hell a lot eating way too spicy food. I honestly don’t know why I do it cuz sometimes it straight up hurts!
I’m not talking franks red hot kinda heat I’m talking habanero and ghost pepper slices with a hard boiled egg half... of my new go to is this stuff called Dave’s Insanity Sauce, it’s killer makes me hiccup and sweat like crazy but dam it’s good!

I love it too. I don’t like franks red hot and stuff like that I find it’s too vinegary. But the homemade ones with bonnet peppers, so good. Makes my ear ring. I was warned not to eat so much of it because it can damage the lining on your stomach, or something along those lines.1

Spicy food doesn't cause damage, but it can irritate ulcers if you already have them. Like in my case... reoccurring peptic ulcers and a love for spicy food. I still take my chances.0 -

That’s good news. Yeah I’d still take my chances too. I don’t enjoy my food as much without hot sauce.0 -

I love spicy food. I always keep at least 1 bottle of hot sauce at work. At home, we usually have at least 2-3 bottles.0

Yes, the more the better! I made my own chili paste a few weeks back and have been doling it out by the spoonful into this and that dish.0

Love my spicy food!!!
The reason that you keep doing it is because the spicy foods release endorphins in the brain (the brain's "that's good" reaction) which overrides the body's "HOLY *kitten*" reaction!1 -

That makes sense, it's kinda like alcohol in that respect...It's all fun in games till the next day....if you know what I'm saying1 -
I cant do habanero peppers straight. I add one to a whole pot of salsa though. I do like my hot sauce but dont put it on everything. I do love Thai and Indian food and always ask for it spicy.0

Is that actual true fact about the endorphins?
Because when I think about it it doesn’t make sense, I’m crying ears on fire but I still continue to eat it and enjoy it. I can’t even taste the actual food I’m eating.0 -

I love it. I thought of it as a positive, as I can add a ton of flavor with few calories.1
