Not exactly sure what you mean, but I'm "serious" about my nutrition and fitness goals and abilities but I do not use Instagram for inspiration. Too much photoshop. I'm sure there are also legit fitness people on Instagram but I don't need to look at the physique of others for motivation. I'm only concerned with my own body.2

My IG motivators are lifting heavy *kitten* weights. I don't suspect that's what you are talking about.2

I follow IG accounts of people with similar interests. Even though some of what I see is probably contrived and manipulated I still enjoy the images. I still keeps me mentally engaged in the things that interest me. For example seeing the cold that some people in Europe cycle in helps get me off my *kitten* and go work out + the images are cool.0

I’m serious about my health and fitness goals.
I’m not sure what you mean by motivation though. Are you asking if I follow some random “fitspiration” account that posts a bunch of half-naked super-posed and photo-shopped selfies, trite motivational saying and horrible bro-science advice? Cause that’s a no.
I do follow some people who have similar goals, aspirations, interests and they post their successes, failures and struggles. Not failures like “gosh it was so hard to get to the gym today but I got it done” with 700 emojis. Failure as in trained 8 months doing 1000’s of miles of training runs only to DNF at the actual event.
But I also follow like 500 dogs. So...4 -
I use my own IG for motivation after posting my workout stats. That way I can look back and see where I started and how much I've accomplished/improved upon my fitness from the beginning. It also keeps me humble when realizing I'm not always going to have a strong workout day, and that not every workout is going to be perfect. But it motivates me to stay the course and keep pushing my boundaries and continue challenging myself to get to a higher level of fitness.
That's how I use IG.2 -
I’m not a big fan of trying to look like a certain person. But I do follow people based on my goal. When I was losing a lot, I followed a lot of those transformation pages. But got bored with all the phony product ads. Right now I am working on my glutes so I follow Bret Contreras and look at his Instagram stories where we posts his clients and other people’s progress. I’m sure when I move on to my next goal, I’ll follow someone similar.1

Something I find amusing - my personal IG account is entirely devoted to food. I pick up lots and lots of runners and cyclists even though I don't post about running or cycling (although I follow those kids of accounts). My conclusion is that the runger is real, lol. Maybe I provide their post run motivation???4

*cough* I could totally be one of those people.
LOL.
The runger IS real, for sure.

I'm another one that follows people with similar interests, so I have a bunch of lifters, hand balancers and calisthenics people. Some people are amazing and it inspires me to see what the human body is capable of. Other people are just learning like me and I'm inspired by their tenacity.2

Haha! Don't forget the large plastic shaker bottle full of colorful liquid front and center of the pics!
I follow more animals than I do people. Good post. Much better explanation than I gave.3 -
I always thought johnny candito was pretty inspirational. Anyone that weighs 180 and deadlifts 700lbs is on a whole different level.2

How do you bench 300 pounds?
...22 grams at a time.

I tried Instagram but it just wasn't for me. I think if you follow real people with similar goals it could be a good thing.1

I follow some oly lifters and people from my gym. No pretty pictures or filters but seeing people lifting serious weights inspires me. And when I post it is mostly food related or my lifting fails!0
