hey!
I'm trying get back in shape after 9 months of doing nothing ( except eating:)) ). Now I eat 1500 calories per day with light activity but I'm breastfeeding. Producing milk is not burning some calories? Shouldn't count on my calorie balance?

EBF here too, needing to bounce back into shape. I’m thinking 1600-1700 calories minimum ( according to my OB) to maintain supply and lose weight.0

At lot of women who are breastfeeding set MFP to maintenance and let the breastfeeding create the deficit. You should definitely talk with your doctor though. You don't want to have too large of deficit and see your supply drop. Also, not sure how long post-partum you are, but keep in mind that you will naturally continue losing weight and shrinking for about 6-8 weeks after birth as you lose more of the fluids that your body was holding on to during pregnancy.1
