I was at your SW/ CW not too long ago, in fact, I plateau at 250 for a whole year due to a cycle of binging, I never gave up and the more I repeat the cycle the more determined I was, I was pretty fed up at one point that I just stopped the cycle. I'm currently now at 190 and will need to lose another 30 to reach my " healthy weight", hopefully I reach it by the time 2020 rolls around!16

Omg! Thank you for sharing because we are living parallel lives! I work so hard then destroy it all by moments of weakness..... 160 is my goal weight too!!!! Oh I’m so happy for you that you broke that cycle and lost the weight!!! I’m so proud of you... you’ve inspired me!!!

I've felt heavy all of my life. I can remember specific weights that I was at different points in my life. 120 pounds in 5th grade. 163 pounds in 9th grade. 152 pounds when I decided I needed to start Weight Watchers because I didn't want to be fat for my wedding. I got down to 136 pounds on my wedding day. Looking back at my wedding pictures I don't even recognize that person. She looks gaunt. I stayed around 140 pounds for a good 10 years. Then I had two children, my physical activity lessened and my job was (and still is) pretty sedentary. The weight came on slowly. I was at my heaviest during both of my pregnancies, when I reached 183 pounds. Some of it came off, but not much. I got divorced, and the weight continued to creep on. In 16 years I have gained about 65 pounds.
I am currently 42 years old, divorced, stand 5'6" and weigh 203 (as of Wednesday). I don't like what I see in the mirror. I don't feel good about myself. One of my coworkers told me that last year she had set a New Year's Resolution of 20 minutes of exercise a day, or 2 hours a week. Other than that she didn't change anything about her life. She is a good 10 years older than me and has lost 25 pounds so far. I decided that I would give myself the same goal. I walk on the treadmill almost everyday, for no less than 25 minutes at a 3.5 mph pace. I've walked as much as 57 minutes in one day on the treadmill! I record everything that I eat, I measure everything out, and I can't seem to find the right combination of foods to eat so that I don't max out on any of my daily allotments.
I try to be proud of the fact that I haven't given up and it's been more than three weeks, but more often than not I feel disappointed in myself. I think yo myself, why didn't I walk one minute longer? Why didn't I say no to that food?
My family and boyfriend know I'm trying to eat healthier, do better, but when I decide to eat something I feel that they are judging me. I feel that I'm letting them down, that they're thinking "yeah, she says she wants to lose weight, but we all know she likes her sweets too much. It won't last."
I am afraid that if I don't do something now, it will be too late. The weight will continue to creep up and I won't be able to enjoy the rest of my life because of health problems due to obesity (I already am out of breath when climbing stairs). That I'll never feel attractive again. That I'll never be proud of something I've accomplished again. This feels like my last chance, and I don't want to miss it. I don't want to become discouraged and give up.18 -
@lmcgetrick man I wish I could give you a hug irl!!! You are amazing! Do you know that?? Thank you for your transparency and for sharing your story. You can and you will get to a healthy weight. Slow and steady wins the race. Set backs are only set ups for something greater. Start anew each day, not thinking about yesterday and what was. I think that was a hard lesson for me. Failing at anything is my trigger. If I cheated while dieting I’d throw up my hands and say welp it didn’t work now let me pig out on all the wrong foods. It’s a process and through it you make progress.... keep striving keep climbing! You will get there!!! I love you and there is nothing you can do about it!8

Hello, you all seem like such lovely women! Support is what I need. I am currently in the 200s and I'm mostly bottom heavy (pear shaped) and losing weight has been such a struggle ever since I was 16. I was a size 13 in middle school and a size 16 when I was 16. It just kept going up 😅 I'm currently a size 18-20 in my 20s. My height my doctor said to be considered "normal" and healthy I'd need to weigh 125lbs that's a whole 110 pounds I have to lose 😵 The struggles, I also just started my journey to weight loss 💕12

Hey..i started at 273 in Sep & down to 260 now..happy for the loss but I need to continue. I lost my drive & need support. Why does it feel like getting under 200lbs id like climbing the biggest mountain that you dont see no end to? So I would love to join you ladies & reach the top!

Hey there! I've always been overweight. The 200's have been my constantly shadow. I remember when I was a teen and I reached 260... that was the most devastating number for me. But then in adulthood, I had somehow gotten to over 300. My highest was 331.
Now that I've started to lose weight, I am down to 280! I will be so happy when I get to 260 and say goodbye to the number that crushed me.
I'm still not sure what my end goal will be. I know I want to get under 200. So I'd say maybe 185 is my goal? But that's not set in stone. I'll reevaluate once I'm closer to that range.12 -
Hello and welcome to our newest! Unless being in the 200’s is your goal, we gotta get out of here!!! What are some of the things you are doing to lose weight and have seen success? I’m doing Keto and IF. I’d like to exercise more, but as a single mom with multiple jobs it’s tricky. I take the stairs instead of the elevator, park farther away from my destinations and plan to walk to work when it gets a little warmer.3

Hi Ladies! I'm in the 200 club due to my pregnancy. My BEAUTIFUL daughter was born in August and I need to lose this extra baby weight that she left behind haha. I signed up for the beach body workouts because she is too young to go to the gym child care programs still and what a convenience working out from home is! My only problem is pushing myself to turn them on to do it LOL. Destination ONE-derland!4

After reading through all of your posts, I think it's important for us not to obsess so much with the overall goal as much as it's important to celebrate all of our little victories that help us reach that overall goal. Something as simple as buying yourself a new workout outfit with every 10lbs lost will do SO much for your self esteem and help keep you on track.7

I just had my son in late September and am staying home with him for this year. He has created a whole new world of reasons that I want to lose weight! I packed on about 40 lbs during the pregnancy and still need to lose 30 lbs to get back to my pre pregnancy weight.
My body has been so heavy, that I have noticed a lot of issues, from joint pain, low energy, loss of breath, and plain old weakness! Time to change that. More reasons; I haven't felt attractive since I got prego, my clothes are just tights or yoga pants, I weigh more than my husband now (who weighed 120 lbs more than me in high school, 10 years ago!!!😱🙈)
I have begun to do some cardio in addition to counting calories. I also am breastfeeding exclusively so that makes it difficult to curb my appetite. I have such a sweet tooth though!! Hoping to make it to my goal weight by June. (5 lbs per month, we will see!)

Hello everyone!! I could use some extra support, I’ve managed to gain back all the weight I had lost eating a Ketogenic diet and then some, found out I had dairy and egg allergies after 3 month in the hospital with pneumonia and a sepsis infection last year and am sick of looking in the mirror wondering where “I” went. My circle of friends is small, and I feel as if I’m on this journey alone8 -

So cold today hunger was nowhere. Hot homemade, vegetable Fritata for lunch (image of if in one of my previous post).
Dinner was a steaming bowl of
Vegetable soup, chunky diced fresh onions. Juicy Lemon and some kind of tasty Balsamic Vinegar.
Loaded my Love’s Truck Stop cooler with ice and Bai. Great Dane’s in the bed, shades pulled, twelve pound comforter pulled up and writing my fellow grinders to say, We Can Do This! I know it and You know it! Do the diaries!1 -
To the weight that I lost today; ciao, farewell! May You never cross my or my friends path again. Tomorrow you’ll be joined by your fellow ounces, fickle and feckless. For I own this house, and you, my former cheesecake or enchilada calorie will be house hunting because I don’t love you anymore...2

CW 274 (lowest I have gotten recently was 255, and that was in October, then gained some back. But I am motivated to get rid of it for good this time!).
I have been over weight for as long as I can remember. I had lost 60lbs when I first started dating my now husband, and got to where I was only like 25lbs over weight. Now fast forward to 2 kids later and gained all of it plus more back. I am just working on bettering my health and being a good example for my kids. Luckily we are all working on it as a family so it is helping this time around. The only one that is having a hard time would be my youngest (7) who happens to be non verbal autistic. He has a lot of texture issues when it comes to food, so he is pushing back. But small victory I have gotten him to at least try a few new things lately!

I’ve been doing this weight loss thing on and off for years. Now that I have a grandchild on the way I’d like to be able to play with him as he gets older. To do that this grandma needs to shed some weight so I’m not out of breath and can keep up with him. I’m down 4.2 pounds since I started this month. I also do small victories of 10 pounds at a time, but for some reason I’m having a very hard time getting to the 5 pound mark. I know it’s a life style change and I can’t get discouraged and it’s also only been a month I’ve been doing this but man it sucks. I love the outdoors, I hunt and am always out of breath when I get where I need to be and still need to climb my tree. I’m hoping next season I won’t be as out of breath when I get to my tree 😊 and hopefully talking and posting on here will help me stay on track.3

I’ve never lost weight my entire life, just slowly gained. Something switched last Birthday, and for the first time ever, I’ve been consciously tracking my food intake in an effort to lose weight.
I have to say I’m struggling a little though - loss was quick to start but now has plateaued. This makes it harder for me to stick to restricted calorie intake as I’m no longer seeing results that motivate me.
Recently that’s has meant I’ve broken the diet - binged, regained some of what I thought I had lost. It makes me feel bad, so I kick start the diet again, only to plateau and so the cycle starts again.
Have you fallen into such a rut? How do you break through and continue your journey?2 -
Hey all! Reading through this, I realized that this thread is so relatable. I've been stuck in the 230-240s for awhile now. I started an office job back in 2013 where I was at 210 but since I've stayed in an office job, the weight just kept adding on. I'm trying to eat better/watch what I eat and trying to be more active.

Just as a group check..... calorie intake (reduction) does not mean reduction in volume that you eat; just in what foods you can eat in volume and still stay under the daily calorie budget.
If it were not for being able to eat an elephant's portion of salad; sans dressing and other fixings, or mixed vegetable soup, doing this, would be difficult.
No one needs to feel deprived because you are hungry, ever! EAT! Eat the good foods that fill us but not the foods that use up calories for very little in return! Give me a veggie fritatta any day Vs a candy bar.

So glad to see this. My wt has just kept creeping and creeping up no matter what. Lost the bulk a couple times but back it came. And as @myfitnesspalacios suggests, I'm doing the bulk veggies to fill up. Have some ongoing health issues that need addressing, so need to see results.

Hi Everyone! Weight loss has been one of the hardest challenges I've faced. 5 years ago, I had it together, I was eating right and going to the gym almost daily. I was down to 160# and I felt great! Then, I had an injury at the gym and let fear of getting hurt again get into my head. I became depressed and before I knew it...219 was my weight and I am now diabetic.
I am now watching everything I put in my mouth...low carb, high protein. Ready to make this change!

TIME TIP - Have the veggies delivered from a LOCAL store like; Kroger/Walmart/Costco even Target. Not happy with what they deliver?...pitch a fit and they will remember you the next time you order.
Saves time, because fresh veggies do not keep and going to the store twice a week gets old.
Also, Make the Veggie Frittata on the week-end and portion in Ziploc gallon bags and take to work for lunch.
Have the veggie soup for dinner and you will still have tons of calories for a snack; pecans, walnuts a slice of hearty bread and a sprinkle of Raisin Crunch and half an Ensure in a bowl - Hell, you'll feel like you went to the bakery AND got ice cream. We Can Do This! You Can and I Can, We All Can! Keep going. No Stopping. Bear Hugs!

@myfitnesspalacios you’re so right - I don’t think I’ve got the right balance of calories to volume yet. And I welcome more tips about lowering calories but still enjoying what I eat.
However, there is no getting away from the fact that I didn’t eat right before, so salad instead of pizza just isn’t quite the same. It’s never been the natural choice for me as I’ve always eaten whatever I wanted without restraint and without consideration for its nutritious value. I know it’s psychological and I need to retrain how I think about food, just currently I don’t feel virtuous when I turn a slice of cake down, I feel denied.
So, 200’s club, what recipes or tactics do you use to overcome such feelings?
My favourite pasta swap is courgetti. I love it as it tastes the same once in sauce and I can feel like I’m eating the same as the rest of the family.
But I need more suggestions!2 -

You would still have just under 900 calories to load up on- and that Can be quite an array of savory helpings of hot food. When calories are tracked; it’s not restrictive, it’s liberating. The “Don’ts are - don’t forget we are addicted to food, don’t eat the whole half of the cake and don’t lose focus on the long term objective- Life; love, family, springing out of bed, springing into bed, that, “Oh, yeah Babi! Moment when slip on that black number and glide when you move. That is you! You can do this! Cake isn’t end of success; forgetting the objective is....4 -
@squishylicious wow courgetti? I’ve never heard of it but can’t wait to try it! Thanks for sharing. I am a carb junkie so I’m always looking for good substitutes.... I drink water and meal replacement shakes, I use substitutes for potato and pasta.... I even found a cool recipe for bread too! It’s called ‘cloud’ bread made with eggs and cream cheese. I absolutely love it and use it for all my sandwiches! So light and fluffy like potato or Hawaiian bread..... best of luck on your journey but you won’t need it! You are strong, you are beautiful and you are worthy!!!! Stop back often!!!2

To try and lose weight I have been logging all of my calories as accurately as possible on a daily basis. Looking at the numbers for some foods has made me switch some of the things I eat so that I can get more bang for the buck. I try to eat salad for lunch everyday and more fresh fruit. I also try to walk at least 20 minutes a day using my parents old treadmill that is now in my living room. I stopped watching television unless I'm on the treadmill and watching it through the Netflix app on my phone with headphones, so I'm not sitting still. I also only play my favorite phone games (Candy Crush, Dots) while on the treadmill. I find that if I play a game until I've lost all of my lives, I'm usually way over my 20 minute goal- closer to 40-50 minutes, and it feels great because I didn't get bored and the time flew by.6
