Is there a way to add in breast feeding? I know you loose calories doing so, and I want to make sure I’m eating enough

What I've seen recommended is to eat to your maintenance and let breastfeeding create your deficit, especially if you're exclusively breastfeeding.1

There are so many variables that influence one's calorie deficit from breastfeeding. It changes daily, weekly, monthly, etc. depending on how much and how often your baby nurses. It's highly individual, so my recommendation is to start eating at maintenance for your current weight and collect your own data. Use a food scale to ensure your logging is as accurate as possible for all solid foods. Use measuring cups for liquids. Track your weight loss with a trending app like Libra to give you an idea of daily calorie deficit from breastfeeding. Eat back your exercise calories. Do that for 4-6 weeks, and adjust your calories as necessary. While breastfeeding, you should aim to lose no more than one pound a week. Also keep in mind that losing weight while breastfeeding tends to be a much slower process, so have patience with the scale.2
