Tracking a weekly deficit

I saw a few posts over the last few days mentioning that some people had success tracking their calories weekly instead of daily. My mental well being could probably benefit from focusing on a weekly deficit instead of daily, so I wondered if there was a built in way to do this with MFP.

I can see last week's summary and report, but I am not finding anything that tracks overall calories for the current week. Part of what makes tracking daily easy is the fact that I don't have to do additional work other than entering in my food (which takes up a decent amount of time as it is). If I have to bust out the calculator then so be it, but I just wanted to check if I'm missing a setting somewhere.

Thanks!

There’s a graph version on the app. Nutrition->Calories->week view.

I don’t think there’s a way to see it on the website.

What I do (which isn’t like a great method but it’s mine) is I do a quick 100 calorie add from M-F. Then, on Saturday I know I have an extra 500 calories to work with and I’ll go over my deficit by 500 calories. And then Sunday is just a normal at the deficit goal day.

I’m thinking of doing this more often than not, but I messed up last night and now need to account for last night’s surplus for the rest of the week. I had a moment of weakness. 😝
