Why can lettuce smell like bacon???

I would be more apt to eat healthy if healthy food smelled better! Nobody ever comes running to the kitchen when I rinse and chop a head of lettuce. I've never seen anybody salivate over romaine/spinach blend. And let's face it...a BLT ain't nothin without the B!!
Man I love bacon! So crispy and crunchy and artery cloggy and heart attacky and makie fatty. Ummm Bacon (said like Homer Simpson)

Smh...I am so ridiculous! :laugh:

    LOL..... I just wanted to say that I actually do salivate over a good mixed green salad with Feta... Ummmmm but you're right, I love my Bacon.... :-)

    cut off all the rinds and dry fry it is almost all protein so you can still have the B in your BLT just not every day.... :):laugh:

    I make BLTs using lettuce as the "bread" and I chop up bacon, tomatoes, bacon and mayo like a salad.
