Hello all, I am a coffee addict and add skim milk to my 2 large coffees during the day. Any healthy replacement?

Why do you feel you need to replace it?
I drink two large coffee's daily with skim milk (this morning I even used 2%, gasp!). I just factor that into my daily calories and enjoy my lovely lovely coffee. I lost 40lb this way.6 -
In what way do you consider coffee with skim milk to be unhealthy? If you share what about it isn't working for you, you may get better suggestions. Is it the coffee that is the concern? The dairy? The calories?
There are plenty of perfectly healthy people who have coffee daily. As long as you're accounting for the calories, I don't see anything concerning about it.2 -

For the coffee or the skim milk? As long as you measure, log and it fits your calories then why remove it (unless you have cardiac issues then maybe switch to decaf).6

2 large coffees with skim does not equal coffee addict. Like, I'm not trying to gatekeep or anything but this is probably the least problemy problem I've seen described here.15

OP, there's nothing wrong with coffee and it actually has some nice antioxidants in it, is a good source of potassium etc. It's also very low calories. Adding skim milk to it also keeps it lower calories and gets you a bit of calcium and protein.
It sounds like you're actually doing pretty good with it6 -
Two large coffees isn't that much coffee. An addict is someone like my 91 year old grandmother who drinks NOTHING but coffee from the second she wakes up, all day and with dinner. I've literally never seen her drink anything else in her life. And she complains that she can't sleep!6

Just measure and count the calories from the skim milk.2

Ugh, can't stand skim milk.
I have full cream milk on my cereal and coffee (though I usually prefer long black)
Just log it and work around it. Might as well enjoy the food you eat.0 -
Yeah 2 coffees is nothing some days I have 3-4 and I use 2% milk as that’s what we buy for our kids to drink. I’m still loosing weight and I really enjoy it so I don’t mind one bit.2

The 6oz. of hot skim milk I put in each of my 2 daily cups of coffee add a useful amount of protein to my daily protein total, and satisfy my personal tastes. My Northern European genes like dairy foods just fine.

I think I understand...
You are unable to get through your day without your two cups of coffee which is what you mean by addicted.
You are looking for a way to cut calories which you believe is healthier. That is an incorrect assumption. A lower calorie substitute might help you on your way get to a healthier weight but that does not make it a healthier food or beverage item.
I might understand but I can't help. I am not a regular coffee drinker and when I do drink it I have it black. Also, I can't stand skim milk. I think of it as milk flavored water and so the only thing I would replace it with is something that has more calories.1 -
Coffee is a great natural product. Black or with milk it has been drunk by billions for centuries. No surprises from coffee other than fake claims by alarmists.2

I have had.... At least 45oz of coffee today. Two big mugs with half and half and a travel mug, black. I weigh 100lbs less than my highest weight.3

Coffee is not unhealthy and 2 cups a day is nothing to worry about. I have coffee every day, usually 2 a day. Enjoy your coffee, log it and account for the calories as part of your day like everything else.0

Well I used to drink my coffee very sweet. I decided to wean myself down to a more "reasonable" amount of sugar (I just started using a bit less and less until I got to one tsp of sugar in my coffee which is 15 calories) and then I use some milk. It comes out to about 40 calories total which for me is just fine. Now I absolutely hate overly sweet coffee. So there's that.1

I drink mine with a bit of hot cocoa mixed in because it makes it the perfect sweetness and gives it a nice mocha flavor. I count the calories and enjoy.2

2 thoughts)
1) If you are looking to cut calories in your overall day, maybe if you put whole milk, or coconut oil, or something with more fat and calories in your coffee, then you would not need to eat a snack at this time during the day, because you would get that good fat from the coffee.
2) If you do like to eat with your coffee, or you are eating plenty the rest of the day, and that’s why you are wanting it to be lower cal, have you tried unsweetened vanilla almond milk? Good taste and very low cal.0 -
Typically anything 750ml (3 cups) or less is considered completely safe and has actual health benefits because of the antioxidants that are present in coffee.
More than that per day and it's the caffeine you have to be concerned about.
If it's just the taste of coffee you love, try switching to decaf (water processed, not chemical decaf).
In terms of calories, skim milk is a great choice but as an alternative, I personally use Silk brand Coconut milk or Almond milk just because I want to keep my consumption of dairy down to a minimum.2 -

Maybe I just like my coffee fairly strong but I put about 30ml of skimmed milk in it. That's around 10 calories. I don't really know what alternative would make much of a difference.1
