Elliptical calories vs. App calories

Which one would you turst the amount of calories the elliptical says you burned or the amount your watch says you burned? Mind you they are way different.

That's a tough one because I think they both usually overestimate. Did you input your personal info into the elliptical? If so, it's probably closer than MFP but if you can get a heart rate monitor, set it up custom to you and that will give the best idea. Still can be off a bit not as much as MFP.2

This watch has a heart monitor and it's supposed to be counting steps but I don't think it's the best for calculating calories burned.0

I just put my walking app on pause and go with whatever the elliptical said I burned1

Go with the lowest number and then subtract 20%.
Those machines, they can't be trusted......
I'm pretty sure that SkyNet started as an elliptical machine.0
