So long story short, I have a friend living in the UK. She’s originally from Pakistan. When she was a kid she was really skinny to the point where u can see her ribs but after she came to the uk at young age she gained weight by eating junk food and cause of sedentary lifestyle. She wants to know if she can lose all that fat off. Do u think it’s possible for her to lose that weight?

Of course it is, why wouldn't it be?

Just like anyone else, she needs a calorie deficit to lose weight.

Yes it is possible as long as her calories in are less than her calories out.

Why do you or she think it would not be possible?

Well is she willing to change what she eats and/or how active she is? If so, yeah. Seems like she should be the one logging on to here if she wants to do that though.

There are plenty of people on this forum - look in success stories - who have lost weight, even if they've come from a history of habits that kept them overweight or obese.

Why on earth would it not be possible? It's possible for her to lose weight, the same way it's possible for all humans to lose weight...

Has she not seen 600lb life? Yes it's possible if she's willing to change her eating habits and put in the work.

Why doesn't she want to ask this herself?

The answer of course is yes. Have her read that link in the second reply.
